Just so everyone knows, he's originally from New Mexico. His family had a large ranch just outside of Hobbs, NM and a bar (which you can see the remnants of in his music videos). Unfortunately, his mother, Cindy, is no longer with us, but his Dad lives in Texas now, and His uncle, Clay, helped him start his music career. My mom was married to his Uncle Tommy, so I'm not just making stuff up.
