older v8s are easy (when they're stock)....i've beat a monte carlo ss in eliminations on the last track day of 2009 at NSS...it's the built ones that'll leave your ass behind...i know..i drive a 2004 sixxer with a few things done to it and i got smoke by a built 5.0 in the next round after the SS...

mods dude throw in 3.73 rear gears with a tlock system and add a 4.2 manifold, diablo chip it and drop a K&N air intake and vuola you can make some good times at the drag strip, even make most of the v8's get a run for their money. dude youll love it, its gunna run u about $1800 pls or minus, depends where u get it installed.

Already got a K&N system and a short throw I am workin on the 3.73 and tlock along with duals, a tune or a chip, headers, bigger tires, and a new throttle body. Hopefully have it done by next fall.

dude you are gunna love the 3.73 gears they make so much difference and adds so much torque, as the late and great Carol shelby said, horsepower sells cars, and torque wins races, welcome to the name of american muscle!

damn dude i have a 2004 40th anniversary mustang in gray with a cold air intake and hp=220, i havent taken it to the drag strip, but it looks like fun, is ur's stock, cuz u smoked that v8

A the time, yes. Now I have a cold air ram air intake and a short throw shifter in it. The drag strip is a lot of fun. Yeah they are not the fastest V6's in the world...but they are fun.

bad shifting...I was surprised I managed the time I did. The Run I had after this one was 16 flat.
