Standard grade gas was around $1.25/gallon in 2002, so premium couldn't have been much more than that, maybe $1.45/gallon. That wasn't that long ago.. Kinda scary.

Hell the new V6 Mustang, a practically stock one was able to tie in with the 5.7L HEMI.

it looks like the fat uncle of the origional challenger, and they could have at least have updated the chassis and suspention from the ancient ladder chassis with solid rear axel layout.
430 hp 6 liter hemi V-8 would be the reason it starts around 40 grand, same powerplant as the current srt-8 models which go above 40 thousand so maybe its quite a deal
looks great, engine sounds nice, love the arse end, but i bet the quality is the usual lame arse chrysler crap. Which is a shame because the heritage of 'chrylser' deserves better that's for sure. Hemi..-say no more, still copied today by all the best engines from most manufacturers..

looks great, engine sounds nice, love the arse end, but i bet the quality is the usual lame arse chrysler crap. Which is a shame because the heritage of 'chrylser' deserves better that's for sure. Hemi..-say no more, still copied today by all the best engines from most manufacturers..

this car will flop. With $3+ gas prices and a $40,000 price tag it wont last long. Great idea, cool ass car. But too much motor and money for the avg buyer. Give me this car with 300hp small block and a price of around $25000 and ill buy it and add the power parts i want to. The Camaro will flop too, just like the GTO did. Only Ford has the Mustang right. Price, power and somewhat economy.

This car will ONLY be sold with a 6.1 liter HEMI. pumping out 425 ponies...the design is exaclty how you see it in this video...it will not change!
there were talks of introducing a 6.4 liter engine but that is down the drain
there were talks of a convertible but that idea is also gone down the drain

chrysler already cancelled the imperial because of high gas prices and Cerebrus group is not to happy with this model either...but itll push through because its already through development and the brampton plant is tooled and ready for assembly (I do expect a delayed launch)

congratulations. I hope you can get that loan, pay that loan, afford the insurance, afford the gas, and not crash it trying to show it off as you use it as your everyday vehicle. Can you afford $400 in payments and $300 in insurance, cuz that's the low end of what you would be looking at. Hope that all works for you.

awesome car... dodge started taking orders yesterday (12/3), msrp is listed at just over $40k for the limited edition SRT-8 model
i love the flaps on the ram air hood, personally i think it is a genius idea and a good way to give the old school blower vibe to the new one
