Its really heart warming to hear this from people who are out of school. I'm still in school almost a junior and I get bullied. Its great to know that even tho us lgbtq youth can reach out for help whether its the trevor project or helpful adults in our community or even around the globe

i heard my extremely (and i mean extremely) conservative family members talking about how much they like modern family. they said that their favorite characters were cam and mitch, how they were such a cute couple, and how much they love that they adopted lily. then it struck me, all the protests, and what happened with prop 8 this summer do nothing to convince them to be open minded to all sexualities, but modern family did. weird to think about

i heard my extremely (and i mean extremely) conservative family members talking about how much they like modern family. they said that their favorite characters were cam and mitch, how they were such a cute couple, and how much they love that they adopted lily. then it struck me, all the protests, and what happened with prop 8 this summer do nothing to convince them to be open minded to all sexualities, but modern family did. weird to think about

They're not lying: it does get better. It didn't get better for me until after high school: I got bullied every day, even though I fought back. Now my life is awesome. AWESOME. There were very, very dark times, and I dreaded going to school every single day. Let the people who love you get you through~ my dad was an a-hole (he's better now) but my mom and grandma loved me.

I'm a lesbian/bisexual in hiding, I haven't told my family/friends but I got bullied just for being "ugly" or "fat" or whatever-the-eff people wanted to say about me. There were times when I didn't want to go to school just so I could have a "normal" day w/out being bullied.

@harytheledge School can sometimes feel like a vortex you are being sucked into with nothing to help you survive. Just try and remember that there is a world outside- which was so difficult for me to do, but such a relief for me to discover. Whether you are or are not gay, clearly you're different and thoughtful and precious to all those who love you, and to you I will say hang on, and don't let go of whatever makes you unique.
