Hey... Im a huge fan of this band...

But the clips of this awful concert are emberrassing to a brilliant band.

(I know its them but sly and Robbie smoked bad w..d or sumthing and that singer is bad beyond comprehension even Duckie Simpson is totally offtune.)

Anyway, when i Google Black Uhuru u get to these awful clips and (unrightfully) doesnt do good for the band's reputation. Michael Rose is back now and its all good and well again.Sooo pretty pleas load up sum better.

Would it have killed them to have played something from "Red" on that live show? I was pretty dissapointed in the DVD due to the song selection. I thought they could've done much better. The singer isn't all that bad, definetly not a Rose, but he was ok. You can barely hear the female vocalist on this show, even though she is a smokin hot black woman! To sum this event up, it was nice to see Sly & Robbie, but it just makes me miss the original lineup even more, rather than take me back.

Reggae music is the healing of nations. As for other comments, it is my humble opinion that Mr. Bees does not have the vocal cadence to give this tune its best sound. That takes nothing away from him as a singer or the contributions he is making to the band and their listeners.

You can't claim anybody WAS Black Uhuru but Simpson does get props for keeping it together although they've coasted for years. The glory years were with Puma and Rose, Sly, Robbie and the Revolutionaries. That was one of the best bands ever, any era, any genre. Reid wasn't horrible and they made some nice music. Brutal was OK. I lost interest when Puma had to quit. Without Rose and Puma it just wasn't the same. Seeing this I'm like WTF?? Guys's got great hair though.

In fact Duckie Simpson is NOT Black Uhuru, he sure deserves some credits for making the band last for so long, but B.U. is the result of several great musicians working together. Besides, let's be real, u can't just pretend Mykel Rose doesn't even mean anything, cuz Andrew Bees couldn't possibly suply "Mr. Black Uhuru".
