I am sorry, and maybe I am such a snob that I cannot appreciate these kids, but I cannot. They were not good. Could they have picked a WASPier guy to play the king and her, oy vey! Where was the polka??? This is THE moment of the show! It fizzled and died. Try harder and against better judgment, watch the movie and see how it might be done, or at least other productions to see the whole thing. Where was this school?
I dont think there is enough chemistry between the actors. When he is saying about how Europeans were not holding hands, i think it would be better if Anna got a bit more embarrassed and there was a moment between the two of them because this is a key scene and it's where the King is finally starting to show he likes Anna. It needs to be quite intimate when he goes to grab her waist, its just a bit too comical for this play
Her voice and manners are just beautifful. I think Anna Kerr and Yul Brenner would be quite highly impressed by this King and Anna. May both actors persue their talents.
her voice is kinda good.. but her acting is er.... not that good.. she was not going into the mood... doesn't give me the feeling that she is imagining a guy dancing with her...

It's true that her acting is a bit bland but you should know that she is 14 and only had a week to learn the part.

bless her, the dress is at least three sizes too big, and trying to polka in a space the size of a table top, good voice though.
