Burst angel could have been much better, but it was just a giant let down. The episodes just repeated like this: mysterious robot thing shows up, Asuka gets captured, Rei shows up like shes cool but cant hit the side of a barn with her guns, some how they win and hang out with Chungli and Ruri, and they all have the most annoying voices possible. Reused characters, shit story, and shit action.

@gatoni Jo hit Meg in that one episode cause she knew Meg would follow her even if Jo told her she couldn't go with them and she knew that the mission they were going on in order to rescue Sei would've been too dangerous for Meg. Cause in all honesty Meg isn't really the type who can defend herself like the way Jo, Sei, Leo and Tekana could. Infact she was always getting captured by the enemy throughout the series. Also by that time Sei would've needed Jo's protection more then Meg.

Oh, and I'm sorry, if I had any spoilers in those last comments, but the Jo and Meg relationship was only a subplot and didn't really contribute to the main plot, so I haven't ruined any of the surprise twists at the end; I don't think I really spoiled anything. I actually think the whole Meg and Jo relationship actually makes for one of the best lesbian couples I've ever seen (I didn't actually consider it that weird for the most part) and I am a huge fan of the show. Burst Angel is awesome!

to be honest with, if that's a compliment to the anime, then it's fine, however if taken literally, you're way off.

Idk why, but this hardly qualifies as anime imo, I mean graphics and such, but just reminds me of teenage mutant ninja turtles.

It is definitely far, far from the best. There almost no plot, no story, just a different weird childish thing every episode.

Actually thats where you're wrong about all the female characters being lesbians. This isn't what you'd call a yuri shonen-ai since theres two main male characters still in the series. This is just an anime of girls who have a strong bond and relationship between each other and just that nothing more or anything sexual.

How can you say that when Meg kisses Jo (I think on the lips) in the last episode? It's obvious. Plus they're the stereotypical lesbian couple and this is a stereotypical show. All the cliches are in here so it's no surprise Jo is the masculine, flat chested, tomboy and Meg is the ample breasted damsel in distress that's always rescued by Jo in the relationship. Jo might not have romantic feelings for Meg; she doesn't have strong emotions to begin with, but Meg certainly feels that way about Jo.

Not all the female characters are lesbians; just Jo, Meg and Maria; however Takane does have a strong BDSM feel to her with the handcuffs and some other things I can't remember right now, BDSM symbols. But Maria molests Meg in another episode towards the end. There are "tons" of references towards Jo and Meg being a lesbian couple, although they never did anything, Meg at least has those feelings. This isn't yuri? You should do a little more background research on this show, like the manga.

OMFG I love Burst Angel! I bought the DVD box set, watched it in like 2 days, and now it's made my 'Top 3 anime shows ever' list.
