but i think i found a mistake i made. i tried to pull the handle towards my waist, dunno why but i did.... that might be a reason for the loss of momentum.

I'm confused. So as you throw your front foot out do you need to literately have that heel cut back into the water and then just simply throw it back, or is it more of just like a slidIing away, where all you have to do is keep all your weight on your back foot and slide your front leg behind you once a decent amount of tension is in the rope??
Its more like sliding your board away from the cable, exept that youre not sliding but really pushing it into the water. You need a little more power on your front foot instead of your back foot, itil improve your airtime big.
