The thing is, there is no way of declaring which animal will "crush" or "destroy" the other in combat, because unlike humans, animals don't fight when they don't have to. The chances of a healthy tiger fighting a healthy full grown crocodile are nearly impossible. When the Tiger comes out on top, the battle is clearly in its favour. There have been reports of crocodiles killing tigers in the water. And there are reports of tigers killing (juvenile) crocodiles on land.
