my cousin had to have an abortion at five months. The ultrasound showed that her baby was missing the upper portion of his brain, his organs were on the outside of his body, and he was missing 2 (or 3) chambers of his heart. If birth didn't kill the both of them, he would've been a completely braindead vegetable, and would've suffered for the rest of his life. my cousin did regret it, but in the end she feels she did the right thing and I support her. oh well...appreantly you have a phd or something than? because I know that reading the studies that doctors have done that fetuses do not feel pain until 28 weeks because it is scienctfically proven that they have not yet formed the necessary nerve pathways although fetuses start forming pain receptors eight weeks into development, the thalamus, the part of the brain that routes information to other areas, doesn't form for 20 more weeks. If the baby is a mistake and you can't afford to take care of it or deal with the pregnancy which includes morning sickness, back pains, etc. then the child becomes a burden.

I have spent countless hours discussing and thinking about this subject. I'm sure that there are extreme circumstances where someone might be able to argue in favor for abortion, i.e. rape, incest. But the trouble is, that isn't always the case for the reasons people seek abortions. They are careless and do not think ahead. People have sex, only think about the moment and then are surprised that they got pregnant.
However, the problem is that pro-life and its supporters tend to seriously twist and overstate the number of abortions that happen out of stupidity and recklesness.
Even if you are aware the birth control is not 100% effective, you can't really expect someone to stop having sex because of that.
I am not in favor of "abortions for leisure" so to speak. I just despise the pro-life bible maniacs. Their goal is to take away women's rights, not to save lives.
Abortion should never be used as a form of birth control. If you aren't ready to be a parent, don't have unprotected sex. If you are not ready to be a parent, you should seriously think about the consequences your actions may have. If your birth control fails, STILL you are aware that it is not 100% effective. There are over a million abortions every year. If people quit making bad choices, think about how may less that would be.
If these people happened to come to power, not even victims of rape and incest would be entitled to an abortion, believe me on this.
The church is NOT as noble as it wants us to think. I do not need to prove this as I'm fairly sure you must have learned about their murderous crusades, their "heretic" prosecution, witch burning, etc..

my cousin had to have an abortion at five months. The ultrasound showed that her baby was missing the upper portion of his brain, his organs were on the outside of his body, and he was missing 2 (or 3) chambers of his heart. If birth didn't kill the both of them, he would've been a completely braindead vegetable, and would've suffered for the rest of his life. my cousin did regret it, but in the end she feels she did the right thing and I support her. I'm pro life, but I only take it so far.

But the good news is that today she has a beautiful son and THREE beautiful daughters who are all almost perfectly healthy. she's rh- and her husband is rh+ which (amongst other things) is what caused her problems in the first pregnancy. I aborted and I don't regret it one bit. All i regret was that the condom broke.
I'm not haunted by the killing of a fetus who is not even self-aware who would have changed my life from then on, I instead have nightmares of being strapped to a table and fed intravenously for 9 months only to be cut open and then forced to care for that baby at the age of 14.
That's what my parents would have done to me. That's what another girl in my chool's parents did to her, and she went crazy and ran away.

It's why My job consists of caring for those disabled or elderly as a health care worker, and why i go above and beyond the call of duty to cook, clean, bathe, feed, and care for my clients, even doing jobs that aren't on my list.

I don't plan to get married. I want to live for myself- I'm happier to be alone save for when I go out to work or to play. If I find someone I want to have sex with, I will. I'm on the shot anyway, so I don't worry anymore, and I'll use a condom anyway against STD's.

oh well...appreantly you have a phd or something than? because I know that reading the studies that doctors have done that fetuses do not feel pain until 28 weeks because it is scienctfically proven that they have not yet formed the necessary nerve pathways although fetuses start forming pain receptors eight weeks into development, the thalamus, the part of the brain that routes information to other areas, doesn't form for 20 more weeks. just a few things I'd like to say.The first picture of the baby is that of a baby at least 16+ weeks abortions are not preformed at that, the 3d scan is that of a baby at 30+ weeks also abortions are not preformed at that stage in pregnancy. Why is it a given fact that a fetus feels pain after 28 weeks? I don't believe this to be true.

I agree as well.... my veiw on it unless something tramatic happens that was beyond the concent of a woman, look into adoption. You didnt want a kid keep ur legs closed. Im only for abortion if the baby has a deises that will cause them unbarable amounts of pain and will kill them early on. Only if the baby is suffering though.

I agree. But my argument is that if people have unprotected sex (no condoms, birth control, etc.), then I think they should be prepared to accept the consequences that follow. If people are mature enough to have sex, they should be mature enough to deal with the consequences.

If the baby is a mistake and you can't afford to take care of it or deal with the pregnancy which includes morning sickness, back pains, etc. then the child becomes a burden.
Women can deal with this when they intend to have the baby because they love what is inside them but when it's a mistake, it is simply a burden.

It doesn't matter if your lief sucks! Your baby's doesn't have to. There are people out there ACHING to be parents but can't. You can give your baby a better life than you had. There are organizations that are there to help. People aren't afraid to line up at the welfare office, but noone wants to go to get help for an inexpected pregnancy. I have spent countless hours discussing and thinking about this subject. I'm sure that there are extreme circumstances where someone might be able to argue in favor for abortion, i.e. rape, incest. But the trouble is, that isn't always the case for the reasons people seek abortions. They are careless and do not think ahead. People have sex, only think about the moment and then are surprised that they got pregnant.

However, the problem is that pro-life and its supporters tend to seriously twist and overstate the number of abortions that happen out of stupidity and recklesness.
Even if you are aware the birth control is not 100% effective, you can't really expect someone to stop having sex because of that.
I am not in favor of "abortions for leisure" so to speak. I just despise the pro-life bible maniacs. Their goal is to take away women's rights, not to save lives.

Abortion should never be used as a form of birth control. If you aren't ready to be a parent, don't have unprotected sex. If you are not ready to be a parent, you should seriously think about the consequences your actions may have. If your birth control fails, STILL you are aware that it is not 100% effective. There are over a million abortions every year. If people quit making bad choices, think about how may less that would be.
