Dude - How the fuck did you manage to do this ? Could you give a short explanation for non-modders?

@Gogeta1345678 I took the map file and the assets from Crysis 1, opened the map with Crysis 2's editor, took out all the Crysis 2 incompatible stuff and re-exported the map to engine. Then I used CryEngine 3's resource compiler to convert the assets into PS3 compatible format. Then I transfered the map and the converted assets onto my PS3's harddrive (into the folder where the game installs its files) and replaced the intro map of Crysis 2 with the map I exported. ;)

@TehMinja1134Extras yes you can, but the official Mod SDK for Crysis 2 is out since a few months and the free CE3 SDK too. Crysis Remastered was released for consoles too yesterday. I'm pretty sure you can do everything legally now.

@COWCLAN1000 because they would have to sacrifice to make it run - like this^^. I had to play on medium settings when I first got the game, and that was on a 7950 GT video card on PC. The PS3 uses a 7800 chip. I now play it on very high settings in it's fullness with a GTX 590 which are many times over what a 7950 or 7800 is now.

Would you really want to play Crysis on low - medium settings on a console? A lot of things - gameplay wise, not just graphics - are missing at those levels.

The first bay of Crysis have 2.500.000 poligons in very high - with efects in all vision space - , and Xbox and PS3 in Crysis 2 cannot move more than 600.000 or 700,000 , less even than Crysis in low . PS3 doesn't have even close to enough RAM for this game, as far as I remember this level required 600mb. Well above PS3 RAM capabilities.

Add to that the ps3 running it(if even possible) at sub HD and 10-15 fps it wouldn't even be playable. Add in all missing textures, shadows, shaders, objects, NPCs, interactions and consoles would melt.
