  • Good review except you must have said situation 500 time you watch to much jersey shore wow!

  • that was a very good review. Thanks for the video.

  • I recently viewed "Facing Ali" (numerous times). I really enjoyed the documentary. I've long been a fan of Ali. But, this film had actually won my respect and admiration for the other former heavyweights who were featured on the film. It painted a more complete portrait of not only Ali, but history and humanity embodied by these great fighters. Thanks for the commentary! I enjoy your stuff!

  • Thank you, I agree with your thoughts, great to hear the experiences from the opponents as well as their history,

  • Scarface!!!!

  • Was a great documentry loved what they got from Frazier, a lot different than usual. All the guys in the documentry were some badass old dudes

  • i saw the FC 360,damn,i wish showtime showed at least 2 of these leading up to the big fight or double header,i like how it goes more in depth with the fighters promoters,i also luv the fact the semifinal's and the final bout are being aired live on CBS....HBO won't dare go against anyone of them.

  • Fortunately they do have another one coming up in a couple weeks. I actually like how they show the aftermath of the fights as well as the build up. I had no idea they were gonna have the fights on CBS.

  • I just saw the latest episode of fight camp 360 and personally i think its better than hbo's 24/7 as you feel more part of it than you do with 24/7 what do you think?P.s im sure as an american you enjoyed the scene where froch's mum says one yank down another to go?!LOL.

  • I agree that FC 360 seems more real and unfiltered. Plus you get the before and after footage.

  • good review. i got Facing Ali on dvd about 3 weeks ago, but i havent watched it yet. but its on my to do list.

is that a Round 5 Wanderlei Silva figurine in the background???

  • Better get on it.

Indeed it is, actually it made an appearance in my first take at this vid, unfortunately I went over the time, maybe he'll make an appearance if/when Wand wins.

  • quick ?...

does ur Wandy have nipples? cuz, mine doesnt :(

  • Nope, so much for authenticity.

  • i have the book facing ali from years ago, never got it read though. the documentary was good enough for me. thanks for reminding me on twitter to watch it.

leon got his teeth fixed i see. his comment on "leon is a black name" was great.

what struck me about this was how used up all these guys are. geez, holyfield's looking good in comparison! notice how ali's speech was slurred in the late 70's!

holmes sounded the healthiest of all.

  • No prob, someone reminded me on Twitter as well.

    Leons a funny guy.

I have a feeling Holyfield will be in the same boat when he gets older, unfortunately.

  • agreed, for sure!

notice how they had sub titles throughout and none of those guys spoke any language other than english? shows how rough a sport this is. god bless them for the thrills they've given me over the years!

  • It was like ten documentaries for the price of one, with some colorful people on a great topic.

  • henry cooper was a huge star in england at the time he fought ali and he's even been knighted.

  • BoxingBadBoy77, I also remembered reading that Sir Henry Cooper met up with Muhammad Ali when the latter visited Ireland(?) recently, it's a good story.

  • Nah man this one was different cause it focused on the opponents just as much.

  • I really enjoyed that show. It is amazing to see the affects of boxing on some individuals. Joe Frazier and Leon Spinks looked like they suffered the most from their battles, whereas Lyle,Chuvalo, and Foreman seemed lucid and articulate. Good vid. The emotion from Frazier was interesting, because like you said, he seemed to show no remorse for Ali's condition in the HBO Special.

  • You're right, along with the names you mentioned and of course Ali, some HW boxers from that era suffered lingering effects much more than others. I liked seeing that side of Frazier, no denying his genuiness.

  • how did henry cooper come across in the documentary?!articulate or battle worn?

  • Well spoken.

  • great vid, i got to see the 360

  • Just added Facing Ali to my netflix queue along with a documentary called The Last Round: Chuvalo vs. Ali. Sounds really interesting, thanks for the heads-up.

  • Now I need to add Chuvalo vs Ali, thanks back.

  • is netflix just available to you guys in the u.s or can we get it here in the u.k?If you know that is!

  • @BoxingBadBoy77 As far as I know netflix hasn't gone international. I'm really surprised that nobody has started something similar in the UK.

  • P.s i know its an online operation so i dont want to sound too stupid but for instance we dont get access to hulu here in the u.k for copyright reasons or licencing or something along those lines.
