  • thank you for posting this song, as well as posting the history of the type of music it was for its' time. This is a very beloved song to me and my family (and I'm only 45 years old!). I remember listening to this on the 45rpm record on RCA at my grandmothers house. She loved this song, and because she loved it, I loved it. Grandma has been gone for 15 years now, and still, to this day, I feel her love when I hear this song. Thank you.

  • This song has took me back to when I was a little girl. My mother used to love to listen to Dolly and Loretta and Tammy. This was one of the songs that I remember her listening to and we used to just cry. Now I cry cuz it is a sad song but also because my Mother has been dead for 33 yrs now and each time I hear some of these songs it makes me feel so close to her. I was 16 when she died and anything to just get to feel her presents. We also loved the song (Chas) by Dolly.. :(

  • This song breaks my heart cause i lost a little one but i still love this song and its so true

  • My grandmother had this on a 45rpm and we used to play it all the time. This song is one of the most sentimental songs in memory of my grandmother. My grandmother is no longer with us anymore, but this is a song I haven't heard in years...the memories of being at her house and playing this record will stay with me forever. Thanks for posting this song.

  • Love Dolly & Porter. Thank you so much for posting this song. I once bought their cassette tape with it on it, but it was defective and I had to return it. They didn't have any more. I have Daniel O'Donnell and Mary Duff's version, which is beautiful and chokes me up trying to sing to it, but this is the best.

  • Porter & Dolly do nothing in this song to change my opinion that they are one of the best male/female duets of all time.
