I also like most of the stuff the Polecats drew influence from - but not in a precious, jealous way. The Polecats' rockabilly stands up alongside the best rockabilly.

They can always look back and be proud of this. Not only did they hit they hit the nail on the head, they added something of their own. It deserved that big production - everything amped up. Nothing held back on those guitar breaks and the drum and bass are tight as the crudest metaphor. Tim - what a mover! Bouncing around like a young gazelle on speed - the perfect expression of their sound.
