Recently my aunt's iMac screen went completely black. She took it to the apple store and they told her that it would cost her about $700.00. I started doing browsing around and found that iMac's screens are susceptible to getting spots or lines running through their screens.

lol, too late. I got my 20" iMac a month ago. :D

But in all seriousness, the extra four inches really don't make too much of a difference to me. Especially considering the CPU speed is the same on both models and I was able to customize my machine when ordering it from Apple to have the same hard drive capacity as the low-end 24" model. And even though the 20" has 2 GB of RAM while the 24" has 4 GB, I can always upgrade in the future when such an upgrade is needed.

The four-inch difference doesn't really matter to me... Because I plan on using the monitor from my old PC to extend my desktop. :)

Play it safe and wait, I was going to buy an Imac last week fully loaded, but the rumor is that they may come out with one that looks the same but with much more specs on it...I'm gonna use to be my center of my music production so I need as much Ram I can get, I predict is gonna have quad processors and ram up to 6 or 8GB, at least I wish. :)

I believe macs are generally targeted towards professional organisations or just general use, more than they are made to be a gaming machine.

Games are for little boys (imo) and while they might be fun, macs are for getting the JOB done.

If I wan't to play games, i'll go out and build myself a nice custom PC for $1000.

But for general use, I would rather go out and buy a Mac.

I just got my first Imac yesterday i got the 20inch imac with 2 gb of ram. I was so excited to open it they are so easy to set up so beautiful and so much better then windows. I am going to keep my old dell with windows xp on it. i would recommend macs for for anyone they are so great Love it to bits. I changed the mighty mouse for two clicks cause I am so use to it
