MainStage 2 Setup For Guitar and Vocals With Backing Track

I'm planing on buying MainStage 2, I'm a guitar player but the thing is that on every guitar video I watch, everybody uses guitar rig 4 to get the guitar sound as they actually want. My question and reason why I plan to get this program is if I could use the guitar sounds only from MainStage and still get an amazing quality. Without Guitar Rig or any other software.

@megatallicadeth Sure, lately I have been just using the amps available in Mainstage/Logic. They take a little more tweaking sometimes, but you can get great tones from them. I think the only advantage to GuitarRig is the metal type sounds. GR has the SuperSonic or whatever, which sounds great for more heavy stuff. My favorite delay though is the one in Logic.

I am working on some new MainStage videos that will be using MainStage by itself. Should have the first one up in the next week or so.

The latency for me has been a non-issue. Honestly I am not sure if Firewire makes a huge difference, but it could. Currently I am using the Apogee Duet and the latency is still very low just like the 610

How is the latency live on the macbook pro with the m-audio 610? Would a focusrite saffire pro 24 dsp do the job just as well?

Will your GR Kontrol operate the amps/effects within the Logic/Mainstage presets, or GR amps only? Are you using the ProFire 610 for your keyboard audio interface, or for something else? It would really help if you could explain the schematic of your signal chain if you don't mind? Guitar>GR Kontrol>etc. Thanks!

Nice setup. If I get Guitar Rig 4, how do I use I use it with MainStage? Will it just show up as a plugin?
