  • i'm not sure if i believe in god, but this song makes me want to

  • endearing, something about this makes me feel so happy

  • Smashing Pumkins.. by far the best band ever... my just heart breaks.. such memories riding around listening to SP on back roads back in the 90s.. i miss those days:(... times ill never forget

  • @MrBasicblue Totally agree. This music just rekindles the embers of happy memories - bliss!

  • Immaculate and very fitting for the vintage style of the Pumpkins.

  • What an endearing, reverent song.

  • Beatles?

  • @Fulgrim88 LoL No, it's James Iha you hear singing... He plays guitar and sometimes sings a song... But i can feel where u get your Beatles-idea from :D

  • some of my favorite pumpkin songs are not Billy's, but James'.

  • love this song, its obvious this was the kinda stuff iha loved doing.

to bad though he plays rockin electric guitar.

  • this sounds so much like My Bloody Valentine...god how i miss James. From Gish to Mellon Collie, that was the best SP era.

  • I listen to the pumpkins a lot, and i've heard this song a few times and never really got into it. The images of such fun and beauty in this video made the song seem clearer, happier. I just cried for the first time watchign youtube. Thankyou Maeghan your videos are amazing :)

  • @SometimeSomeone Both great songs.

  • favorite iha song. those strings, man!

  • More vocals from the other bandmates would of been interesting

  • This should have been on Mellon Collie instead of ' Take Me Down'

  • one of my favorites. James wrote some great songs.

  • LOVE IT! so beautiful :D ahhh iha.... genious

  • I think James did the best material.

  • @Renitamac That's because you're a punani

    That's because you're a punani

  • this is one of those videos you come across by accident, but end up falling in love with. probably never would have heard it if it weren't for youtube; thanks for posting!

  • No es el mejor, pero ahí está la ensoñación lujosísima de la canción titular The Bells, de la que alguien debería hacer una versión shoegaze.

  • (Heart leaps with joy!!) James Iha is the unsung hero in SP. The dude is every bit as creative as Billy and this song proves it. For such a short composition, it is so rich in texture and feeling, not to mention it being a song dedicated to Christ during a time when most rock musicians were anti-christian, I think James was courageous to create this ingenious work. I feel my heart heal everytime I hear this...thank you so much, maeghan1edits!!!

  • as always, most excellent maeghan.
