Thanks! actually, it's funny u should say that, because i've never had a teacher and I wish i did because now i have all kinds of bad habits with my picking. My advice: take advantage of the structure while you can for your picking, and learn strumming on ur own just by jamming and playing along with stuff. (listen to lost of sam bush :) )
