I have become a big fan of Awesome John. As I watch all his videos it seems he is influenced not so much by Vai and SRV but more from Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Alvin Lee and the other true legends that also inspired Vai and SRV. He seems to be an ultra modern player with solid roots in vintage blues +classic Rock. He plays good music with soul along with amazing guitar technique. Most virtuosos get boring after 5 minutes, not Awesome John. His music is cool and hes fun to watch. Great artist!

hey JohnathonAnon I just read that you wrote that Awesome John was playin mindles appegios and went to see your videos and your playing. I saw you "trying" to play some appegios as well but were "not cutting it". Now I know why you were critcal of Awesome John.

He's technically a very good guitarist, but I couldnt listen to those mindless arpeggios for long. Sounds a bit like Michelangelo, the guy who plays the double necked guitar.

As for the voice over:

"Feels in his heart every one of the twenty notes per second.."

Takes away from a chap that seems like he is a good entertainer. Havent heard much of his vocal talent. Why dont you promo him singing songs instead of those guitar arpeggios.
