Love this game. Not only is it super realistic, slow and good, I love the way it adjusts to the gameplay - loud and guns blazing is met one way and stealth is responded to another way.

Also, I like the Red River sequel but I feel this game shows the professionalism of the Army much better. In Red River I felt like shooting Knox everytime. Just shut the hell up and act mature and professional.

OFP:DR is so much more mature and professional with official sounding chat and no juvenile nonsense.

this mission was glitched to fuck for me. i mean seriously, everthing like buildings and fuel tanks were walk-throughable. thinking i could use this to my advantage, the enemy kept seeing me and shot me THROUGH it.

It's preferred that u leave your team and head for the generator and let your second man take out the other objective while the other two provide overwatch around the escape route it may work if your quick on your feet but may not if you forget to regroup the last man.

Myself and 3 mates, hardest difficulty, this mission. All objectives complete and only one team member wounded (took a round to the leg). It felt pretty fuckin' ninja! :D

This is BS. I had to beat this whole game wiht the AI. You get human help and have respawns.

PS; This is the one mission I had to use my pistol in because I ran out of ammo. I got tags wiht it, but no kills. =(

To much fighting, not necessary ;) I just broke in with the whole team, blew up the generator, killed a couple of guys, stole chinese jeep and drove away. Jeep MG provided support while clearing LZ.

@MP5rules There was a jeep which drove into the base together with the trucks. Do not underestimate the AI, they know their job sometimes. When you play on hardcore you have to use every opportunity and avoiding open fight is an option.

I found the best way to escape was to run through the huge exit to the left of the generator, no enemies anywhere, my men got killed but i didn't get one shot shot at me, eventually you get a checkpoint and theres about 4 enemies at the lz, then its done :)

You should always make sure that your medic if wounded is healed were you have cover from fire as quickly as possible. Atleast if you get severly hit he can heal you completely. Once ur medic goes down ur pretty much fucked

apparently this game is horrible. According to ex-fans they developers didnt do as much of a good job as they shoulda and said that red river (OPFP 3) will be bad. But Im really looking forward to that game. Just as long as the weapons are modern and stuff. some stuff in this looks too old

you can roam around the islands, in skirmish mode (there are no enemies then).

also sometimes there is a tight schedule, for instance you have to destroy missiles before you heli arrives. but generally there is no time limit

@tuna2223 missions are timed, and HQ gives you the missions, just like in real combat. You will alternate between a regular infantry squad and a Special Forces one. Alternate missions.

game is not worth it. i have it 4 360 and this level is impossible. literally. i have it on normal and my shitty AI doesnt follow orders and then the alarm gets raised and they get killed and when they respawn they stand there while im telling them to move up. oh and you cant beat the mission witout all your guys... how retarded is tht? fuck the game

@Undeadvial yea using the commands for the AI is a clustorfuck

but trust me the game is SOOOO much more enjoyable playing co-op online

and the sniper rifles are much more realistic than other games

in co-op the medic heals you and gets rid of all damage

the gunner uses suppresing fire

and the rifleman helps you hit longrange

each person gets to choose who they want to be (1st come 1st serve)

and its a hell of a lot easier coordinating attacks

There's a winning strategy which makes this mission really eazy. Leave all your AI idiotic teammates at the OP, go to the base alone, place the charge (don't detonate it), reunite with the team, run to the LZ, detonate it when you're half way there and run like hell to the LZ, this way you'll get there before the specops do. Hope that your AI pals engage with someone and die there. They deserve it as in this mission they are your biggest obstacle.

i had the same problem. i just did the mission over again and made sure that i didnt lose any of my mates.. and then the chopper took of. easiest way to go in is at between the two houses, take out that one guard in the middle, plant c4 and just run. they will lose track and a direct conflict is not a good idea ;)

@ss11955 this happened to me on the 360. Just do the mission as best as you can again with all the squad members in the helo. Worked for me :D

Its a glitch. The game basically cuts out one of your team mates at the beginning of a checkpoint. So it thinks theres 3 team mates, but only two are alive. The only way to fix it is to restart the mission and ensure you don't die after you set the detonation. If you do, you'll go back to the checkpoint and be missing 1 team mate and the helicopter won't take off.

Just don't die, be very careful.
