  • Yeah..... so.... wait who's paying for the healthcare? AND DON'T SAY THE GOVERNMENT! Because I know who writes the Government's paycheck... ME! and The rest of the law abiding Citizens of this nation. So basically... I am paying for NATIONAL healthcare so that people who didn't pay for healthcare can use MY money for it? WTF is going on? Can someone explain why this is being supported by some people? I must have something wrong.

  • @SuperSneakySniper You are not the only one paying. Thousands of people pay a small amount that combined turns into a huge amount. The huge amount can enable the goverment to pay so everyone can enjoy to have free healthcare, and to save money if it didnt exists. And in case you need proof that it works, go to Denmark. We have it, and we are doing pretty well.

  • @N7Crazy But aren't most the people getting free healthcare people who dont work for it? So people who are making money are paying for people who aren't making money? I guess that's a nice thing to do, but what about the people who just don't want to work? They shouldn't get the benefits of hard working ppl right? And is the money protected against illegals w/o healthcare? They shouldn't get any. I think it'd work good if the money was focused on those who deserve it and REALLY need it.

  • @SuperSneakySniper People who use healthcare the most are people like you and me. The middle class. Off course the money we pay goes to some people who dont work. That´s because the idea of it, is that everyone (with a US citizinship) can enjoy it, from rich to poor, black to white, employed to unemployed ect. Even though it seems like pampering the lazy people, it´s not. People who dont want to work, dont get any money, no money, no house, no food, and end up as beggars.

  • @N7Crazy I think there may be more ppl who work less than they're getting healthcare for than beggars, but hey who knows. But, I do think that people who dont have healthcare, or dont supply thier own should get only minimal, or neccesities, in other words, NEVER should someone who has no healthcare be treated better in a hospital than someone who does have/pay for healthcare, this has happened to me on a personal level, and I cannot stand it. Other than that it doesn't sound too bad.

  • @N7Crazy My sister's friend was in labor, she paid for healthcare (not much but she PAID), she was put in a half room with a curtain between her and another patient, WE were to monitor her health. Meanwhile, another person in labor who (turns out) did not have healthcare was given a room for those who didn't have healthcare, she had the room all to herself, and a nurse was constantlymonitoring her health. Other than that, it IS good the other lady got help, but in this case she got MORE

  • This is why both parties need to GO!

  • I don't understand why my money is being stolen to give to people who don't want to work for it.

  • @RStarvling lol, true. It's funny how people describe universal healthcare as "free health care" - as if no one has to pay for it.

  • Republicans coming back into office! Dems had their chance and Obama screwed it up!

  • So true!

  • Write them to pass healthcare?

Fuck that shit, y'all need to die so I can buy up y'all's realestate real cheap.

  • Thanks! This has been a mystery to me until I saw this - why the GOP opposed this.

  • What? 44,000 people dying every year? That's a very high rate body count! How is that possible, in the biggest, richest and modernest country in the world? That's fucking ridiculous. Why is there no health system like here?

  • Of course there are supplemental insurance plans to Medicare, do you think the insurance industry wants to lose money on the growing number of Medicare eligible persons? There still is a market to be tapped and they do it.

Also, for those who complain about paying for healthcare for all and complain about the system as well, WHAT is your answer to the crisis of 44,000 people (including children) dying each year because of no insurance?

  • Here in germany, all people have a health insurance. It's funny to see how big the discussion about medicare is.

  • You people are absolutely retarded. medicare for all? What damn world are you living in? Maybe if the govt did not enslave people to welfare and lower incomes there would not be such a large group who cant afford healthcare. Our govt cuts welfare off once people make money, so people dont work, it leads to people staying in the hole instead of trying to crawl out.

  • Now, the way I see the scenario, is that yes Health Care fails, and the Left blames the Right in time for 2010, with an attempt to OFA the results from a typical 51-49 per cent divide to something higher, like 65-35 percent, filling seats along the way, in time to push Amnesty, and increase the constituency by yet another 5 per cent, guaranteeing incumbency.

The TOO Party system...what a hoot!

  • Single Payer for all!

  • When congress forms a health care plan that they are willing to join and drop their gold plated health care plan then we can talk. It's interesting that people that want Fed run health care do not examine closely the current Fed run health care programs, medicare and vet care. Have you noticed the ads to buy AARP supplemental insurace to seniors? If medicare is so great why the need for supplements. I invite any that support Fed care to go to a vet hospital, it would be a wake up call.

  • Have you spoken to someone currently in the military? How about disability or welfare? They have all the health care they need, and it's gov run, & runs smoothly. Now add the rest of the nation to that, but paying 5% in taxes, and everyone is covered at a reasonable cost. It's a shame that funding keeps getting cut for vets, but that's a whole different issue. $ is being diverted for this fake greedy war trying to get the oil lands.

  • ending freedom, the new america.

  • either way, we're fucked. is that what you're saying?

  • . . . UNLESS we all speak out. So please go to the fax action page and just do it. And encourage everyone else you know to do the same, for the corporate lobbyists DEPEND on our silence for them to prevail.

  • This is an EXCELLENT video.

It is a pity that I find the petition (peaceteam(dot)net/action/pnum1020.php) for your action overly aggressive. If you echoed the sentiments of the video, and linked to this video for Congress to watch, I would sign the petition.

  • If your argument is that being not wimpy is "overly aggressive", we're comfortable with that. Indeed, timidity is the biggest problem of all. Our position is "Pass Medicare For All, Or Pass Nothing", and we're sticking to it.

  • Medicare for all would be great, but has less of a chance than the current bill

  • tampabay

Obama is doing a great job.

He is trying to bring both sides together to start working on the budget. Of course the republicans won't show up again.

  • he's not bringing Anyone together. Meetings at night behind closed doors to put Pelosi's plan together with No Repubs or Bluedogs allowed, that's working together? Worst President Ever.

  • Doing a great job? wtf are you talking about he's doing worse than bush... why are we still in afghanistan, why's he bailing out the banks, why the fuck are we trying to spend a trillion dollars on a healthcare plan that doesn't really save you money?

wow man you really need to snap out of the propaganda and start seeing wtf is going on...

obama sucks and you know it. The only difference between him and bush is that he's black...

  • Just what we need when we are broke, another Trillion dollar government failure to drive the final nail into the coffin. in 2010 we vote both parties out and get rid of the Socialist Dirtbag President running the free market into the ground.

  • Hate to break it to you, tampabay, but the next Presidential election isn't until 2012.

  • no shit, but after 2010 he will be a lame duck. you and your Black friends won't show up for those elections, but we will.

  • Congratulations tampabay! You've proven that you're both an idiot AND a racist in record time. Do the world a favor: stop breathing.

  • How Idiotic, the Creator of this Video realizes the Government on both sides is corrupt & they want to give more power to the Government? Government is not the answer, It's the problem.

  • Form your own conclusions, idiotic or otherwise, not ours. Government per se is not the problem, the problem is corrupt POLITICIANS who need to be pressured more by the people, or if unresponsive to that, replaced. THEN democratic government works just fine, thank you.

  • But not only that as davidpark68 says both sides are questionable, but THE PEOPLE; THE PEOPLE KEEP VOTING FOR THE REPUBLICANS THAT CERTAINLY ARE FOR THEMSELVES, THE INSURANCE COMPANIES AND THE REST OF THE RICH CORPORATIONS INVOLVED. THE PEOPLE ARE TO BLAME. Obama with his good intentions got to be resident only because the Electoral College, they were ready to vote for McCaain, another Bush.

  • @myrdavPeace

Obama was elected by a sizable majority of the popular vote.

  • Please feel free to dig through the Vids on my page & realize the corruption is on BOTH sides of the Isle, Neocon Beliefs are closer to the progressive agenda then traditional Republican Values. So Guess who's party they'll be screwing up once we manage to throw them out.

  • the Government is Corrupt Politicians. They just gave Trillions to Corporations in front of your face & you still believe they are looking out for your best interests? you want to take a bankrupt system & expand it to Everyone? what happens to the people dependent on the Government when the Government Goes Bankrupt & the currency is devalued? we're being heavily taxed on one side & on the other our currency is loosing value through inflation.

  • @davidpark68

The Tarp money was poorly distributed, but without it we would have been in a much bigger mess than we are.

There are 4 bills ffrom both the right and left floating up to confront the theives.

The government is flawed, but it is still one of the best in the world.

The health care plan is needed. I wish conservatives would try helping fix the problems instead of running around shouting lies and revolution

  • @Blairtim69

I wouldn't say Poorly distributed, more like poorly spent. the money was to buy up toxic assets & free up credit, instead it went into buying up banks & Just made the too big to fails into way too huge to dictate policy to.

the toxic assets that were going to Collapse our Economy remain, the banker elite just got bigger & more powerful.

    .......................

  • I agree the Principals behind Our Government is the best in the world, but the Politicians aren't following those Principals. they are stripping the states of their rights & becoming a nanny state.

Health care reform is needed not a complete take over of health care & Not this crap bill they passed that forces people to buy Insurance with penalties of fines & imprisonment.

  • My theory is that we need some persuasive commercials, not ones that count on others already being on our side.

Other than that, I thought it was great. And I love using humor and irony to make a point whenever possible.

  • There's a great idea just get rid of all government health run plans and make it all go to the insurance companies. Medicare, medicaid, veterans plans, even government employees all the way up to the prez. Put it all in the stock market and hope for the best.

Or we can keep it as it is and just deny coverage and let medicare go bankrupt so people will need to take their parents in their home and pay out of pocket to care for them.

    Wonderful idea chief...

  • I hope that if you are not old, when you get to be an old fart, you will not find Medicare or anything else, and that you be on the streets; your parents must be young folks with lots of money that do not need Medicare. Damn you!!!!!

  • You are assuming I am against Medicare. What I am against is the illusion of Medicare. Medicare is going broke because the government promised benefits and does not then pay for them. Under this reform, they are going to cut Medicare funding, which is already not enough.

You cannot address the cost of healthcare by attacking health insurance companies. They are simply paying the providers who determine the cost of healthcare.

  • Awesome.

  • Medicare for all, sounds good to me

  • @gregspencewolf Until reality hits and your 15 FUCKING TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT WITH A 1 AND A HALF TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT, HYPER INFLATION, A FUCKING UNEMPLOYMENT RATE THROUGH THE ROOF, AND HAVE RIOTING IN THE STREETS OF MAJOR CITIES.

  • Democratic Caucus blockus?

  • Is there some way to send this to every one in the Senate? It's perfect
