  • ....and stayed with them until he retired in 2004. Then HAROLD JENKINS, his 70's replacement , replaced him AGAIN in '04. The IMPERIALS line up that were inducted were THE CLASSIC Imperials lineup, ANTHONY , ERNEST, CLARENCE, SAMMY , and ORIGINAL Imperial GLOUSTER "NAT "ROGERS. I don't know if Tracy Lord was inducted.

  • Rogers and Lord were replacd by Sammy Strain . He joined the Imperials when they re-formed in 59 and was in the group when Anthony returned...so he enjoys status as an original member . Sammy was on all of the group's biggest hits , except TEARS ON MY PILLOW and TWO PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. ANTHONY, CLEARENCE, ERNEST, AND SAMMY were together for many years. He left the group in the mid 70's and was replaced by Harold Jenkins. Then , Sammy left the O'Jays in 1992 & returned to the IMPERIALS...

  • The original members all from Brooklyn, NY were, Anthony Gourdine, Clarence Collins, Ernest Wright, Gloster Rogers and Tracy Lord. Others have come and gone, but Tony, Clarence and Ernest endure. They put on a fantastic show every time and give 100%. Much love guys

  • Ok, I got the greatest hits and I can't tell them apart. I know what Anthony looks like..ofcourse, but can you tell me their names by their faces? I know the second to the right is the cutest and my brother told me that he's Clarence. Right?

  • Hmmm, thanks for the comment, The original album entitled "We Are the Imperials" has on the cover, the guys in white suites and Tony is wearing a crown. To his right are Ernest and Gloster, to his left are Tracey and Clarence. All the brothers looked good back then. Loved me some Tony, but now Tracey Lord was fine as "frog hair" and to me bore a close resemblance to Sam Cooke. My opinion and I am stickin to it. All the best for 2010.

  • Thanks for the comment. At first, I thought Ernest as Tracey. LOL Yeah, Tracey and Gloster looked good then. I wonder what are they doing now and if they are still in touch with the rest of the group.

  • Which one these guys use to sing with The O'Jays

  • Little Anthony & Smokey Robinson should be around the same age 68 or 69.

  • Not quite all original. Harold Jenkins came along later.

  • Go on Antony!!!!!!!!!!! you D man

  • Lucky audience,really lucky.
