i have a problem, the game loads up as it is supposed to but when i come to the start screen my controllers dont seem to work. i tried it on many ps1 games and the same result. i checked the settings, and everything is as its supposed to be. so i have no idea why it wont work.
when i know that cds and other materials can and will deteriorate or be rare to come by, I fully support emulation to preserve gaming for future generations so they can experience the kind of 8 and 16 bit games we had as kids.

Thanks for the footage! I won't be downloading this because i have a ps3 and it plays ps1 games almost 100% perfectly and in HD but I forgot how good this game is. Too bad the Sega saturn emu for wii doesn't work well. I love the homebrew browser though!
Hey everyone...i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to play playstation iso that have been burned onto a disc to play on a wii? i have a bunch of old burned playstation games on disc from back when i had a playstation with a mod chip. they are all original copies so i was hoping someone knew of how to play them on a wii. i also have original copies of sega cd games that i wanted to play on my wii. if you guys know of anything, drop a response. thanks

Just an FYI! Anyone who hates this emu can go to hell, I'd like to see the haters make a better one. This is also free don't expect amazingness. Btw Iso's run faster from your sd card. Its slown down a ton if you load them from your external hard drive or other USB devices. Why this is? No clue =D.

i thought i heard somewhere that the guy or team who made the psx emulator for the wii is working on another big project for the wii,they said "its an emulator but can you guess for what system?,but i wont necessarily tell u if u guess right",hmm the only thing i could really think of would be a DC emulator,what else would/could it be?,also how is psx emulation on the wii?i havent tried it yet,how is the compatibility?good?and how does it stack up to bleem and psx emulation on the psp?
Is there a Dreamcast or MAME emulator for Wii? I would love to play Marvel vs. Capcom on Wii but I don't like the PS1 version. I got two Wiis, the white one is hacked with the Homebrew channel, the black one is not.
Just to be clear, Emulation has come quite a long way on the PC... Hell, mine can almost perfectly run PS2 games... I just have to say, who cares if people want to Emulate.. I play Emulators and I also own Every Sega, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft console ever made and I have an Atari 2600, Phillips CDi and Turbo GrafX 16... I personally enjoy the feel of the controllers in my hand but hell, If he wants to play on his PC, who are you to tell him he's an ass.
lol wow why even waste time with this well the emulator when you can play this on a pc with no lag or graphic problems...but thumbs up to the creator of the wii port and emulator.
@seekertosecrets lol actually PC trumps all because on PC you can emulate pretty much every console, as far back as Nintendo (Maybe even further) including Wii, and Playstation 1, and 2 :-)
Maybe in the next few years it will be the 360, and PS3 as well :-)
@NathanIsDOWN if technolagy keeps evolving at the rate it does now than in a few years a pc can emulate a 360, or a ps3 (wii is already emulated just as ps1 and even ps2)
yea so what's your point? I still play n64 and not my wii even though I have a wii I don't play it. I play more n64 emulator then I play wii. I also play dreamcast and ps1. 10 year old games are fun if you ask me. so what if ps5 comes out? I won't be able to buy it if you ask me so i'll just play ps3 emulator when the ps5 comes out. games are games doesn't matter how old. so I still think pc is the best for gaming. (maybe not when ps5 comes out but we'll see about that :P)

@messatsu1981 I know cause I have a dreamcast and a n64 and a ps1. but I play on an emulator caus I don't have cd's and since all of these consoles don't have usb I can't play of my usb stick. and these emulators work and don't suck. + when you have a pc it's much more easy to download games then for 360 or ps3 and lots of games are avaleble for pc too you know. so on I pc I can play way more games then on a console. (but wii is nice cause it can play n64 and everything from before that.)
@thepianoaddict By the time PS5 comes out the PC will have more games than China has people. It will also be 500x more powerful than PS5 and whatever Nintendo and Microsoft will put out.

@amitq99 Computer power doubles every 18 months. The ps3 isn't that powerfull when you compare it to the newest pc's. Sure the wii isn't that impressive and can already be emulated on full speed. it will take longer for the ps3. But like I said. computer power doubles every 1.5 years. It won't take 10 years.
@thepianoaddict its an issue of programming more that power, software plays a bigger role than hardware, i've heard somewhere that usually you need double the processing power as the system you are trying to emulate

How in the world do people play this stuff? This emulator needs a ton more work. Seriously, get an actual Playstation, they're not even close to expensive. You can even download the roms and rip them to a CD if you're really a cheap bastard.
@HiKityMan I still buy playstation games to this day. There is a store where I live that has them. They have a website called tradengames-com. If not them there is always plenty of Playstation games on ebay which I have bought quite a few games from.
@thesamedifference actually i got the laptop for pretty cheap and i had some RAM laying around from computers past so i installed that the only thing thats stopping me from going all out with emulation is my mediocre graphics card but its sufficient enough to run ps1 smooth as silk all in all i got the laptop and parts for 400$
kay I installed this wad and it says found boot.dol in apps/wiisx folder and then file read succesfully and then says loading dol... and does nothing HELP???
@swampertkamm85 This emulator must not be optimized at all. You can run PSX games on a Pentium 3 at full speed but a Wii is way more powerful than a P3.
is there support to run ISO's off of USB drives yet? I cant get it to work for the life of me. (and this was likw my favorite PSx title, gotta love the roman candles =p )
I try to use the classic controller but it won't work. What do I need to switch the Input Config to? I have the newest Wiisx (Same setup as Wii64 beta)
@godlesswickedvanian Be sure to plug the classic pad into the wiimote before u open wiisx. I think it something like settings, Manually configure input, then in Input 1 scroll through till u see wii pad, once youve done that go back to the previous menu and you should see something like Configure Buttons go into that menu to configure your X, Y, A, B to the playstations Triangle, Square, Circle, Cross...etc then Save should be up the top right hand corner. Then load games as normal.
@MrDizzyRebel I tried that, but it won't recognize the controller. I set up the basic setup for it, but when Start on the controller doesn't work, then it didn't recognize it. Do you know if I can as well do the same for Wii64 since it's the same layout as Wiisx beta 2.1?
@godlesswickedvanian Well mine works. I have Beta 2.1, a normal Wii Mote and A Wii Classic Controller plugged into it. My Classic pad has worked in all the Beta's so far. I used the Wii mote to point at the screen to configure the Classic pad as i have said below. I can't understand why yours isn't working. Try a different contoller or mote maybe, failing that i'd download it again.
@godlesswickedvanian Don't think PS 1 ever used the thumsticks. Wii64 uses the thumsticks tho.
Settings - Configure input - Input 1 - Wii pad (then press B button underside of Wiimote to go back to main menu)
Settings - Configure Buttons (you will see the Playstation pad onscreen) Make sure the up, down, left, right on screen correspond to the buttons on your pad, this should already be set and you shouldn't need to mess with it).

@mikestlouis1 I don't think its better at all. The only improvement from beta 1 to beta 2 is the smart gui & some audio improvements. I was expecting alot more from beta 2, still can't play any of my fav's like resident evil, destruction derby, tomb raider...etc gutted to be honest

@mikestlouis1 I've decided to sell my Wii. I tried the Beta 2.1 yesterday and it 's actually worse than Beta 2.0. Cudn't believe the games I managed to get to work on Beta 2 are Code Dumping or hanging on the 2.1. It's aweful. Add that to the limited amout of decent playable games for the Wii64 and the totally crap MAME and what am I left with? A SNES & MegaDrive? I do think the team are holding out on us tho like you said - to release 2.0 & 2.1 in such a short space of time is abit suspect?
@MrDizzyRebel nah don't sell it, you still have the gamecube games and wii games you can get from coverfloader....try get into smash bros brawl aswell...game of skill can keep you pretty occupied amoung pros....then you have lost kingdoms, and SA series when sonic was good (excludin heroes). then you have gotcha force on the gamecube....yeah the dated gen consoles are pretty limited....buh the Wii's just another option...buh you can naturally run them smoother on the comps i say

Will go back to the Beta 2.0 for now cos at least that played crash bandicoot 2 with no problems. I really wanted to get the Yabuse saturn to work to play sega rally, daytona & sega touring car but that emulator has more bugs than a flee ridden mattress... lol. Just had enough of the Wii, tbh I could throw it through the window...lol

@therealerf909 yes, you first need the backup channel witch has NOTHING to do with homebrew channel, after you have the backup channel you will need to convert the ps1 game to a readable file

@amitq99 Computer power doubles every 18 months. The ps3 isn't that powerfull when you compare it to the newest pc's. Sure the wii isn't that impressive and can already be emulated on full speed. it will take longer for the ps3. But like I said. computer power doubles every 1.5 years. It won't take 10 years.

@thepianoaddict its an issue of programming more that power, software plays a bigger role than hardware, i've heard somewhere that usually you need double the processing power as the system you are trying to emulate

I'd rather have the real thing if possible, but ofcourse I'm not gonna break the bank for one game. I was just being silly when I said "cheap bastard". If anyone is a cheap bastard, I am. How in the world do people play this stuff? This emulator needs a ton more work. Seriously, get an actual Playstation, they're not even close to expensive. You can even download the roms and rip them to a CD if you're really a cheap bastard.

@thesamedifference actually i got the laptop for pretty cheap and i had some RAM laying around from computers past so i installed that the only thing thats stopping me from going all out with emulation is my mediocre graphics card but its sufficient enough to run ps1 smooth as silk all in all i got the laptop and parts for 400$

I try to use the classic controller but it won't work. What do I need to switch the Input Config to? I have the newest Wiisx (Same setup as Wii64 beta)

@godlesswickedvanian Be sure to plug the classic pad into the wiimote before u open wiisx. I think it something like settings, Manually configure input, then in Input 1 scroll through till u see wii pad, once youve done that go back to the previous menu and you should see something like Configure Buttons go into that menu to configure your X, Y, A, B to the playstations Triangle, Square, Circle, Cross...etc then Save should be up the top right hand corner. Then load games as normal.

@godlesswickedvanian Well mine works. I have Beta 2.1, a normal Wii Mote and A Wii Classic Controller plugged into it. My Classic pad has worked in all the Beta's so far. I used the Wii mote to point at the screen to configure the Classic pad as i have said below. I can't understand why yours isn't working. Try a different contoller or mote maybe, failing that i'd download it again.

@godlesswickedvanian Don't think PS 1 ever used the thumsticks. Wii64 uses the thumsticks tho.
Settings - Configure input - Input 1 - Wii pad (then press B button underside of Wiimote to go back to main menu)
Settings - Configure Buttons (you will see the Playstation pad onscreen) Make sure the up, down, left, right on screen correspond to the buttons on your pad, this should already be set and you shouldn't need to mess with it).
Cant help u anymore soz, u doing my head in now... lol

@mikestlouis1 I've decided to sell my Wii. I tried the Beta 2.1 yesterday and it 's actually worse than Beta 2.0. Cudn't believe the games I managed to get to work on Beta 2 are Code Dumping or hanging on the 2.1. It's aweful. Add that to the limited amout of decent playable games for the Wii64 and the totally crap MAME and what am I left with? A SNES & MegaDrive? I do think the team are holding out on us tho like you said - to release 2.0 & 2.1 in such a short space of time is abit suspect?

@MrDizzyRebel nah don't sell it, you still have the gamecube games and wii games you can get from coverfloader....try get into smash bros brawl aswell...game of skill can keep you pretty occupied amoung pros....then you have lost kingdoms, and SA series when sonic was good (excludin heroes). then you have gotcha force on the gamecube....yeah the dated gen consoles are pretty limited....buh the Wii's just another option...buh you can naturally run them smoother on the comps i say

I really wanted to get the Yabuse saturn to work to play sega rally, daytona & sega touring car but that emulator has more bugs than a flee ridden mattress... lol. Just had enough of the Wii, tbh I could throw it through the window...lol
