I looooove this video! Beagles are so smart and when people have patience, they can train their beagle to do so much! I make my Pocket Beagle look at me while her treat sits on the floor. It was super cute how Sammy stared at the treat...I loved the floppy ears hanging.

@depinktube Beagles LOVE food... just get your dog on a diet where he doesnt eat oftern. Dont starve it but control the food intake so food is a reward. they will learn very fast if rewarded. Beagles are the best dogs ever.

That is truly amazing! I have a beagle but she's 10 now haha.. I got her from a shelter at 3 years old with no training and no house training either lol.. She got the house training and she can sit and stand up on her hind legs but she didnt get much else haha.. She is the sweetest dog i could ever ask for though! :)

@depinktube. start young, have both a consistent name and hand signal for the trick, find a way to get them to do the trick (wait till they sit, moving the food down to make them lie down, etc), then reward them and say the name of the trick, like "good lie down" and give them the food (not much food, just crumbs). they will learn eventually, and you can perfect their form (so don't reward them if they lie down and their chin isn't on the ground, etc.).

Wow! She's very obedient. I myself have a Beagle...but not quite that young. He's 7 months. My beagle is two yrs old and knows how to sit and dance. Other then that it's been some what of a pain to teach her. The biggest thing is having her come to me when we take her to the dog park. She is to busy sniffing every thing and playing with other dogs.

@xKaRnaG3x they are ready for training at 8 weeks of age. it is best to train them at 8-10 weeks; their minds are like sponges. it is not too late for you :) spend lots of time the first week or so, monitoring him, correcting him, teaching him.

@xKaRnaG3x ASAP, Teach him to be a pack member, food and lead manners. Tricks are good but those are alot more important. I have a 8 month beagle who I can walk off the lead, he sits and looks at me when I sit his dinner bowl down and wont touch it until I say it's ok, I can take bones off him while he's eating half way through and he understands that I'm his pack leader.
