Well, I took my ipod in the shower (stupid i know) and I used it as a clock so I could tell how long of a shower I was taking. It never fell into the water, but the steam or something must have got to it. Now I can still use it, but the screen is hardley visable. It works!!! I had my ipod touch in my bag & my bottle of water spilled in it. I dried off my ipod & didn't turn it on. That's key! DON'T TURN IT ON! I put it in a glass bowl filled with rice and put the bowl near my space heater for about 10 minutes. After that I put it under my desk lamp for about 2 hours. I turned it on & it worked! Only problem, the wifi doesn't work, but lucky the white "water mark" didn't turn red so I can go to the Apple Store & get it replaced for free!

@flipboy4444444 no hope...sorry buddy the only thing i can tell you to do is you COULD get a small piece of tissue paper and put it down inside the headphone jack and send it to apple if your ipods under warranty and just say it broke, because what happens is when it gets wet the water sensor turns red, its normally white. when the people at apple get your ipod they check to see if it is white or red, if its red they reject it, once again small peice of tissue paper. you CAN do this.

you should never buy over a 300$ ipod which is either 16gb or 32gb, this is because, life span for ipod touches are extremely short, less than 2 years if your a person like me who uses it everyday, also. so idk if anyone can use up 64gb in 2 years
I dropped mine in while I was doing makeup and my friend told me how to do this and I did and I was like WTF it's not working but it did the next day
