  • i would you to do a version of dj tonka VS stardust and booty luv!

  • @Tinov1976 you know what i mean

  • i hate to break it to you but the original is WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better. all the filters in the world over an unexciting loop that goes nowhere is BORING

  • shitttttttt....leave the track alone plseeeeeee

  • try stardust reggae by silkie thats the most inventive remix/bootleg out there.

  • 3:30 - Do Do (:

  • I feel like... the music sounds better not remixed by you

  • @Silks lol.

  • @Silks hahahahahahahahah

  • WHATS THE NAME OF THE SOFTWARE ,I like your vers!!!! youre the cutest wattching this video worth it :)

  • I like to sniff snow, sometimes i like to stomp mushrooms.

I even fucked princesses and defeated big dragons, they call me...

    Mario.

  • what controller is that?

  • @eudaimoniarecordings For me it looks like an Access Virus Indigo. No Controller.

  • @TheBBSwing thanks!

  • nor your does work,bro!

  • what does bootleg mean in this case?

  • @jhalton that means that a song is mashed up with the original. Like a remix... Because it contains elements of other songs put in one song.

  • SUCKS !!!!!

  • 2:40... At least he's honest. The remix itself sounded pretty clean.

  • stop talking! let me hear!!!!!

  • I enjoy a quality remix, but this is complete crap. There was nothing original about this mashup. Try making real music. On your own.

  • @TheForexGuy2009 He actually used part of an existing remix to make this. I recognize it. So you're right, he didn't really do anything original here.

  • Dude said that he was running everything out to an external compressor so the red part is moot!

  • what's the name of the keyboard ?

  • classic sample + average beat... Well I'm sure the kids who never heard the original will think he's a genius.. too bad they dont know what they missed out on

  • What Midi controller is he using!?

  • Awesome mix! Great work :)

  • @Flipjunkie1 he will be compressing/limiting afterwards, maybe..

  • @Flipjunkie1 That's what we are taught my friend, but a little digital distortion sound ok if used correctly.

  • @Flipjunkie1

either he has no idea how to mix , or either he doesn't care , or last option : he didn't yet find out the tricks how to solve this problem :-))) ( bitcrusher , limiter , etc )

  • @clubfun12 That is not how you solve the problem at all?

  • @MrJameoh obviously he didn't see it as a problem :-)

  • @Flipjunkie1 what do you mean? haha i didn't understand man...

  • @raoulmbabazi Some of the tracks are too loud so they start to distort, not a good thing :)

  • @Flipjunkie1 sometimes "red" doesn't do anything it's just "red" ;)

  • @Flipjunkie1 If it's in the red but not clipping, then the dude has his levels absolutely perfect. Where did you learn production?

  • @Catrionaify All i know is what iv'e read and taught myself, Was not trying to offend anyone here. I have just read and watched plenty of videos that say this is wrong (even in the logic pro 9 book) but i have learned something new , Did not know that this was ok and i appreciate you for pointing it out to me. because i have lowered tracks only because i thought i had to even if i thought it sounded better in the red. now i know i don't have to do this. Thanks, happy producing my friend.

  • @Flipjunkie1 Unfortunately that's exactly what a lot of music producers do these days. Look up the 'loudness war'.

In fact, the official CD version of "Music Sounds Better With You" actually has some digital clipping/compression. That's why I downloaded a high quality vinyl rip.

  • @Flipjunkie1 Your statement shows that you have absolutely no idea about how logic works. It is ok to go into the red on the individual channels in the mixer, the only thing that matters is the master channel. In logic your individual channels have such a big headroom that noone is even possible to distort the sound there. Check out the pointblankonline "Into the Red - Logic Pro Channel Strip Headroom"-Tutorial on their channel and learn something. Thank you sir.

  • @w4t3rm4n Hey thanks for pointing that out ,your right i did not know that .I wouldn't go as far as saying i know nothing about how logic works but yes i do still learn new things everyday,iv'e always seen and read that you weren't supposed to go in the red anywhere.but this is good to know because i have always lowered just because i thought thats what you were supposed to do even though i might have thought it sounded better when it was in the red.Sorry if i offended you .Wasn't my intentions!

  • @Flipjunkie1 buddy i dont know if you know this... but with logic and most other daws even if your in the red on individual tracks but your master fader is not red then there is no distortion going on.....

logic uses a scaling gain stage structure and you can go into the red on the individual tracks without running out of headroom.

there is a limit to how far you can go, but just because its red doesn't mean there is distortion going on

  • original is better? whick one..lol

  • Original is better! :)

  • I love the sidechaining in the beginning

  • FRESH!!!! Jacking for beats will never die. Creative Mash Up!!!

  • FRESH!!!!

  • whats the synth infront on him ?

  • @MrRidisc looks like a vuris synth

  • Still a great video. Steal as much as u can !

BIG UP KID BEEN FAN FOR DONKEYS !!!

  • ableton live 8 is better :P

  • @MachineHead9999 Really ? Tell me why if you don't mind . i might switch over if thats true !

  • could someone tell me what program is he using please?

kidd massiv keep um cumin lad

  • This is crap, the original is way better then this cut and repeat crap with a slappy kick and groove. Crap, crap, crap!

  • @drx44 dead right it is a mash up ....one word garbage

  • @MrPrendy5 wtf are you talking about. This is a great song.

  • Comment removed

  • @drx44 drx..is right..all he says is its not good why do people get affended when people speak the truth.

  • @MrPrendy5 Thanks, mate!

  • i haven't heard the original. i don't even think this song is that great. it's just fun. sorry i can't be in the VIP section with you and your 40 year old elitist friends while you bob your head, maybe if i was i would know what good music is

  • The MS20 looks like the Legacy Collection controller version, it's a little small for the original. Could be wrong tho...

  • Bro, you rock ! :D

  • OMG! This is too hot! Where is a link? Can I get a copy??

  • Download link? :))

  • this would be an amazing lounge house track before the proper club tracks come in

  • The original is better, smooth disco house, glitching it up does nothing for me.

  • @djilyaz

    definatly agree

nothing moves me more than a old house track with soul

  • Would be great to see how you made 'Night In The Big Room'!

  • Looks like Logic Pro to me.

  • is that logic pro or another DAW

  • Prog ???

  • one word 'SMART'

  • original stardust is the best!!!

  • Is that a MS20 in the background you lucky bastard? :D Great rmx btw!!

  • 3:31 DO-DO

  • no big deal just gonna run it through my 5 grand tube tech multiband compressor. bloody hell...

  • Just kicking good remix mate!

  • ...but some pieces is better not to touch .with all the respect...this is another bad rmx of the stardust track :/ daft punk rulez

  • @dm2377 daft punk stole it too u know .there not original by any means..check out edwin birdsong.you might be suprised where daft punk get there samples from

  • @MrPrendy5 i know that .. u dont get it

  • He's good !

  • @thrcman so crookers remix of kid cudi's day n night was a waste of time ???,thanks to that remix it went number 1 world wide more or less ,

and joachim garraud's mix of david guetta's love is gone ,that was the mix that made him

and why do all big releases have 4 or 5 remixes ?? you are talking out of your arse my boy , go back to school !!!!

  • How did you get the samples from the other stardust - music sounds.. remixes?

  • Sampling everything - in the true spirit of house!

  • @DangerRifai true spirit of house..lol

  • You sir, are a groove assassin. There is far too much bongo tech house on this earth.

  • I don't agree with remixing being "easy and unoriginal", that depends on how the remixer does it. They can go the cheap way or they can actually make a totally new track and somehow blend it with the original by importing some elements, and that's kind of a big deal when done right and sometimes leads to amazing things. In this case though yeah, kind of a lame remix that loses a lot of the original track's spark and genuine funk. It's kind of "generic house track no.98786 ".

  • Comment removed

  • this sounds like a beginner using Cubase for the 1st time.

  • which controller is that?

  • what software is that??

  • @thesmallone97 logic

  • It's bad !!!!

  • This a bootleg made for my sets, this mix is NOT available for resale.

I love the original (in all its forms) but alas i can not play it in my dj sets as they lack the energy that is required of songs now to cut it in clubs.

This is why i made a version of it myself, using parts of the other original remixes (Dj Sneak & Dimitri From Paris) to create my own.

It might not be to everyones taste, but then again i only made it for myself.

Hope you enjoyed the video none the less :-)

  • @kidmassive It's class man :)

  • @kidmassive Hello Kid, I really liked this tutorial.

Your sound is spectacular and your setup looks simple, but very professional, & the Tube-Tech rocks! I've seen in your Logic mixer various external outputs, like 3-4, 5-6, etc. .. so, before arriving in the Tube-Tech Compressor steps in the mixer that is to your right-side? Thanks.

  • @kidmassive epic fail !!! if you cant play the original in your sets, start to learn djing from first class again ! whats that for a statement " the energy that is required of songs now to cut it in clubs " ? play that tune on the right place to the right time and forget your creepy mashup...

  • @TubeKritiker this isn't a mashup, it's mashup-esque. it's a production. good music, is good music. if you knew about production and the game, you'd realize what he's doing is completely straightforward, honest, and people will be happy listening to this. so back under your rock.

  • @tilda140 What da f*** ? did you look the video ? its mashup..nothing is produced from him ! Hey says this 01:30.

Sorry..but i thing you are not talking about this video here :)

  • @TubeKritiker excuse me, but there is plenty of production going on in that, if you haven't noticed there are busses, and an arrangement., if you want to argue about terminology that's fine, but this is obviously much more than a "mashup".

  • @tilda140 owhich busses ? channels for sampled soundclip...Arrangement ? its more a dj mix :D , you can get the similar result with traktor ! man...read it von massive lips self : ITS A MASHUP !!

..and mashups are fpr a**..especially from thongs like this one...

  • @TubeKritiker tell that to the end-user on dancefloor. you are an elitist tool.

  • @tilda140 i do it every weekend..and all of it like the original one, and you are ---just to young ;)

  • @tilda140 and please stop telling me anything about " the game "..my label is longer " in the game " tan you are on world :D

  • Comment removed

  • @TubeKritiker dead right...epic fail

  • @kidmassive no offence, but the original has more energy than you're version, its a timeless track, and would destroy the club, even in the year 3000.

  • @kidmassive keep doing what u do bro, sending u love from across the pond in Chicago, we totally would play your track at our sets, thanks for the vid!!!!!!!!

  • @kidmassive keep doing what u do bro, sending u love from across the pond in Chicago, we totally would play your track at our sets, thanks for the vid!!!!!!!!

  • @kidmassive I love it bro! Those jackin beats are insane!

  • Thanks for this!

  • what kinda keyboard is that

  • Cant you guys just leave the classics alone? Chopped up vocals is the most unoriginal thing you can do when remixing, and this version has now lost the hearth and soul that made the song good in the first place.

Remixing is easy, unoriginal, unecessary and rarely leads to anything that sound good.

  • @thrcman what a ridiculous comment.

Not only is remixing in some cases as hard as producing an original track, it is also the entire basis of dance music.

You can't claim that you love the original and hate remixing, the original is really a remix of Chaka Khan - Fate isnt it!?

  • @tobydolier So what this guy is doing is remixing a song that has already been remixed to become a hit? What a fucken waste.

And no, remixing is not as complicated as actually making a decent song, its just something remixers say in order to sound professional and hard working, when in fact your just stripped of original talent and creativity to create a song of your own. What were you thinking?

  • @thrcman lol mate that has to be the stupidest comment ive seen on youtube.. you don't think chopping up tracks is origonal? how do you think Stardust made Music sounds better with you.. he just copy and pasted it from a 1981 track called Fate by chaka khan. So what you call the "original" track was made by the exact same technique that you just called "unoriginal, unecessary and rarely leads to anything that sound good" read a fucking book man and don't comment on shit you know nothing about

  • @jimmyPain2121 Wow, you wrote almost the exact same message on my profile you dumbass. Read a book? I cant have a opinion on the matter? And I dont know anything about house music because I state that I hate these bullshit remixes? Dumbass. I would really love to hear you state your "professionalism" on the subject of house-music. Idiot.

  • @thrcman haha bro u u said chopping up tracks is unoriginal and rarely leads to any thing good when thats exactly how the original music sounds better with you was made in the 1st place its how house music even started, you obviously know fuck all about it so don't go voicing your uneducated opinion and trying to put things down which you know nothing about

  • @jimmyPain2121 It rarely leads to anything good BECAUSE its UNORIGINAL because ITS OLD AND SPAWNED A GENRE decades ago. Its UNORIGINAL when its been done 1 million times by lazy "professional" remixers.

THINK. And if youve listened to any decent house music (maybe your mixing it with trance) youll rarely hear a song vocal go "house music, house music, hou-hou-hou-hous (fast drums) h-h-h-h-h (silence) House music! (beat starts again). That is fucken lame and is exactly what this guy does.

  • @jimmyPain2121 could have said it better :D

  • @OmarBFG how?

  • @jimmyPain2121 my bad it should have been "Couldn't have said it better" *** lol :D

  • @OmarBFG haha cheers, that guy was a twat

  • @jimmyPain2121 hahaha

  • @jimmyPain2121 garbage track

  • @MrPrendy5 then why are you watching a youtube video on it? sounds like you need a life buddy

  • @jimmyPain2121 sounds like u need to listen to some proper records. .u been brain washed with all the shit over the years....buddy

  • @MrPrendy5 you're 43?!?! ahahah thats really sad your 43 and your'e on youtube arguing about music.. man I hope I don't grow up like you

  • @thrcman Remixing is easy, unoriginal, unecessary and rarely leads to anything that sound good. O really ? Here is example:

    /watch?v=8oYwDUzCiVA&feature=related - original

    /watch?v=-uG8eTzz59s - remix

  • @thrcman WOW remixing is easy ?! when was the last time u picked a classic hit and tried to remix it, make it 2011ish and not fuckin it up , sorry dude but ur comment is an epic fail, remixing IS house music
