Village life followed the domestication of plants and animals with the Neolithic Revolution starting around 10,000 BC. The traces of the coastal settlements in Lebanon date back to around 9000 BC in Byblos, favoring it’s founding among the earliest ‘communities’ during this period.
The recorded history shows a group of coastal cities and heavily forested mountains inhabited by the Canaanites around 4000 BC. These early inhabitants referred to themselves according to their city of origin, and called their nation Canaan.
aren't those palestinians ?? or were phoenicians and canaanites the same bedoun tribes ??
if you look at the buildings you'll find it very similar to nabatians ? could they be the arabs who perished long ago ?? al 3arab al ba2eda ? if you can read arabic , thank you
The Canaanites who inhabited that area were called Phoenicians by the Greeks (from the Greek word phoinos, meaning ‘red’) in a reference to the unique purple dye the Phoenicians produced from murex seashells. And of course we invented the alphabet.
Phoenicians or Arabs what difference does it make? We come from the same blood line. Is your blood warm? then the likelyhood of being from the middle east is very high. be proud to be a lebanese and not so much an arab because the ones lucky to be born a lebanese should consider themselves proud of being part of 6000 years of a wonderful history.
i am lucky to be born in raas beirut in lebanon and unfortunately even though i don't live there anymore, ever since the 1975 civil war broke out, i am going to make sure that i am buried in this land and be part of it forever.
Technically, Lebanese have different roots. However we ended up in the same place. We are Arabs. Our national language is Arabic. We just have a different history. Consider Lebanese 'different' Arabs.
yes could be, but, on a very recent study non arab bloodlines in lebanon , are a minority of 1-2 % , the rest are arabs , original arabs , either canaanites or , ghasasinid , a or manadera , and that's the way it is with surrounding countries ,
No, it's not a beheading dance - you fucking racist asshole. But if you had to say something like that in front of a Lebanese man it WOULD become a beheading dance.
Thats not lebanese this is Jordanian/Palestinian idk but its 100% not lebanese..
