Absolutely superb. I can't even think of words to describe this peice that would be close to what I feel while listening to it. I move along with the piece, my mind and body just flow with the music. So wonderful. Nothing like beautiful music a half hour till New Years.
Bravo ! Miguel
Right now I have listened to many recordings of this work on youtube, starting from better known pianists, as usual. I disliked most of them, to a different extent, but then I stumbled at this one that is superior! Here is a good combination of a smooth flow and power. Bravo, *****!
Well I was looking this evening for different interpretations...couldn't stand almost none of the 8 I heard..I just stopped in the beginning...and here I taught ! wow...finally something more deep and more expressive ! Bravo ! even if I would play some passages quite differently !
Which one should you decide from? Play it in a Baroque manner or in the Romanticized version??? I think this interpretation is very convincing for the beauty (but just right for Baroque) of the dynamics and the texture of the notes.
I have seen him perform live in New Orleans years ago. He is an amazing artist (notice I did not say musician, though he is that too) - his control of dynamics is just unbelievable - you must experience this live to believe it. Gave me goose bumps to hear him perform. He can make the piano sigh, cry, laugh, mourn and any other emotion you can imagine.
One of the most underrated pianists of our age. Should have placed higher in the Cliburn Competition. I saw him at Davies Symphony Hall, and aside from Kuleshov, he's the best pianist I have ever heard live.
Fabio, complimenti sinceri.

Comunque ancora complimenti!!!!
