@XmetalmikeX it is 300 for the base/medium model and its not that epensive in the long run. Also, you dont need bags or filters( you can wash them instead of replacing every so often.
I just ordered a Roomba 562 (Pet Edition) because the biggest complaint I hear about the 530 and 560 (3 room and 4 room) is that you have to deal with a lot of pet hair removal from the brushes. Apparently the 532 and 562 are built to handle the pet hair...we'll see if it works as described.
Overall it has worked out well. You have to understand that the Roomba isn't going to move stuff off the floor for you and that you do need to clean it, but with that understanding it's been great. The only real issue I've had is that the Roomba tries to get under two arm chairs I have as well as a coffee table that it can't quite clear. Unfortunately it gets stuck and I have to pull it out, but it doesn't happen all the time (and I work out of the house so I can hear it chirping for help).
well to tell you this gordonputfile, it really dosent because i have one and i was watching it and it didnt get the whole are but it got the dirt, it sometimes will go all around the area to make sure all the dirt is gone.
I got a roomba since that comment, and im really happy with it. I have wooden floors and it grabs all the dog hair, I haven't properly vacumed with a hand held for a couple of months (need to do the stairs tho).
Just think what things will be like 10 or 15 years from now. Love this sorta tech
You've now had your roomba for at least 4 months. Can I ask you how you like it, now? I'm worried that I will spend all this money and it will be great for a couple months but then it will lose it's ability to clean and the cost of replacement parts, filters, etc will make it not worth it.
What exactly it does to the hardwood floor? It takes the dust out, and then what? You also need a washing scooba irobot?

These things are super near, but they're like $500, also, you have to buy a cleaner for it, more bag thingys, and much other products.
Therefore, it's a waste of money.
If it was like $300, it'd be worth it. (Kinda)
$250 is more like it =)

It is about $300 and it does not need a bag and cleaner. It vacuums dust.

So how did it work out? :) I'm considering buying one... but have the same concerns as you do, jeremy.

Does he cover all of the room well? It looks like he missed a bit down around the cooker area.
