When our parents were our age they could find decent jobs without an education. Their jobs came with full family benefits, and they could retire with a decent pension. Why oh why do we always look to someone else to solve our problems? We're either looking to the government or corporations for what we need when what we really need to do is look in the mirror. Start a business! Every major business today was started by someone deciding to do something for themselves. Is it easy, NO but if half of the people un(under)employed started a business and was able to hire 1 person in the next 5 years...you get the idea. Give it a try as you've got nothing to loose.

When our parents were our age they could find decent jobs without an education. Their jobs came with full family benefits, and they could retire with a decent pension. I have more education than anyone else in my family but I am the one who was unemployed for 8 months.

I paid my own way through college and graduate school, I paid my own medical insurance, and I paid my own taxes. I lost my job! I have been on unemployment for almost a year. I now get food stamps, and my children get government medical insurance, and I don't pay taxes. I am not "entitled", I just want to provide for my family without government help!

State Parks are closing because they can't pass a budget. State workers get furloughed while prisoners still get paid and the Governo'rs staff get raises!! Christ the Governor tried to tax all beverages that contained sugar and mandated that everyone has to buy new license plates for their vehicles! You guys seem to misunderstand how a real economy works. Private sector saves money, creates capital to invest in businesses. Businesses then hire people.
Government creates NOTHING. Government only taxes and regulates. Government does not create anything unless it first takes money from the private sector, which creates all wealth and jobs.
So asking the president to get you jobs is ridiculous. He cant employ anyone before he takes money from someone who already does. Less taxes!!!

This USA is one step behind Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece & Spain (PIIGS) in bankrupting the nation. Even socialist Spain is recognizing they cannot afford all the wasteful, fantasy do nothing green jobs BS anymore. Maybe if all the "freakin" people who voted for such a foreign Marxist, socialist, radical leftist bent on bankrupting the US economy with Alinsky tactics, would rethink their decisions come this fall, the nation may start to restore its economy and more jobs would come.

Come to Arizona! As soon as we are able to enforce the law we should have a couple hundred thousand jobs. A day worker can make a hundred bucks a day. So shelve those fancy resumes and get busy helping us rid illegal labor!

I am a teacher of 10 years with two masters degree's and I can't find a job anywhere. I don't expect to make $100,000 a year, but I sure to expect to find something... I am over qualified to work fast food/retail.. and I know this, because I have looked...

I agree with five orange. Jobs are hard to come by. I went to a group interview at a fast food restaurant last week, and I was surrounded by middle age men in suits. To serve TACO'S. I of course didn't get the job, and neither did any of them because we are all over qualified...

This video is a necessity. And for all those people who don't understand that even low level fast food jobs are rare and not everyone can afford to relocate to a new city for work I don't know what to tell you. If the government does not owe me a job then it does not owe Greece, Spain, Wall Street, The Big Three etc. anything either.
