  • IDC how old you are.. Lego trains will always be fun!

  • Comment removed

  • tgv is faster^^

  • nice

  • so do the 9v trains go any faster than the rc ones?

  • And the ICE gets creamed by the 300km/h TGV...

btw ICE isnt slower because of cameras

  • @Dolmori they`re lego trains bro. i dont think it matters

  • And the ICE gets creamed by the 300km/h TGV...

  • The both trains are at the same speed, the reason the TGV goes faster, is that the ICE3 got the 2 cameras, making him heavier!

  • Can u buy ice trains at all??

  • how much did it cost u for the entire set up?

  • You are crazy, but is very funny .. hahaha

  • that is a long ice train and a tgv train

  • Супер! всегда мечтал о таком поездике, когда играл в Лего... Жаль, что детство уже прошло((

  • this reminds me of Wallace and Gromit

  • just curious, are these built to minifig scale?

  • were did you get the ICE

  • u know want screw it i dont care wat they say where did u bought this at

  • if there was one of these both straight and curved track with yellow switchesand if the 2 were with different speeds it would make a awfuly cool crash!

  • Are those home made trains? I haven't found them on Lego.com

  • @goblaisens Yes, my ICE 3, TGV, and Eurostar trains are all custom models built from pieces in my collection, so unfortunately they are not sold by LEGO. I would encourage you to build your own from the pieces you have though!

  • @LEGO9vtrainfan if you custom make yours what do you use for motors

  • cool train

  • make a lego mk.3 train which is used by Irish rail(or Ioranrod Eireann)please, thanks

  • race to justice

  • what camera you do use when you switch into train roof camera ?

how fast those trains will go?

    thanks for now

  • @arttuinen I used the video mode on two point&shoot digital cameras (Canon SD600 and SD880 IS) placed back to back on the top of the ICE 3. Both cameras were simply secured with a gob of poster sticky-tac, which I've found works quite well.

I haven't measured the speed of the trains, but what you saw in the video was full speed for both the TGV and ICE 3 powered by two LEGO 9V train motors each. The loops each had multiple power leads to keep the voltage as close to 9V as possible.

    Cheers!

  • plus, i ran out of letters for the comment below, but do you know why eurostar trains are soooo much longer than all of the others, like doesn't that slow the train down alot?

  • thanks for finding me a video with all 10 cars in your sick TGV. anyway

    1. do you plan on thinking up a whole new layout, completely new, and making videos of your ICE3, EUROSTAR, and TGV running along it individually?

2 if you are to soon think up another great layout (which i'm sure you've been brainstorming, then will you use all 10 TGV cars on it?

3 i know the EUROSTAR trains are for the oddest reason, incredibly long, but are you thinking of building more coaches for it, or not?

  • I have a very rare 9 volt train, but the problem is I dont have a lot of track :( what should I do?

  • @TheWeissinator buy some track.

  • SCHÖNE WOHNUNG

  • dude, were do u get the trains of LEGO, please im not fomr u.s so they dont come here, but do u know any website like amazon or anyother thhat could bring thos trains of LEGO to guatemala?

  • How did you made those long curves?? I would really like an answer

  • @shipsim09 The long curves are made from pieces of LEGO 9V straight track offset by half a stud on the outside edge. I have a video detailing the construction method in my channel. This was also described in issue 1 of the online magazine Railbricks. Cheers!

  • How could you build it?

    Do you work at Lego?

Or do you have so much time and money to build it?

  • Where did you get all the pieces to make these trains? Do you work for Lego?

  • how on earth do you buy the lego tgv

  • i really really really really really really really really really really really really really want one of them trains where did you get them from.

  • AWSOME, GOT TO 1:24

  • AWSOME

  • GREAT IDEA for lego9vtrainfan you should put all train cars to gather

  • Do use the orginal Lego 9v travo ?

    The Train is so fast.

  • @40CrazyBricks All of my trains use two 9V motors, one at each end. Due to the increased resistance provided by long curve layouts, I use a modified LEGO 9V speed controller that can output 3 amps instead of the normal 1 amp (the voltage is still 9V). A connection to the track every 3-4 m is also helpful in keeping the train speed up.

  • Do use the orginal Lego 9v travo ?

    The Train is so fast.

  • @40CrazyBricks I think an arrangement of that length requires power straight from the wall socket ;)

  • did you build that

  • u ever have any wrecks

  • how long did it take to build all thos monsters together?

  • it like centipede but you never lose

  • Great camera work.

  • @666harrywarden the TGV is faster, it is the fastest train in the world i think

  • shoulda put a ramp for a most excellent crash!

  • i wonder which one is faster in real life

  • LOL THIS WAS MADE IN MY BIRTHDAY!

  • 2 Questions:

    1. Did you custom-make your stickers?

    2. Do you live alone or with your parents? (Layout does go through the kitchen, so...?)

  • @Pikman01 Thanks for your questions! I will try my best to answer:

    1. Yes, I made my own stickers on inkjet-printable crystal clear label sheets from onlinelabels.

    2. No, I do not live with my parents, although this layout was set up at my parents' house. All of my layouts are temporary, so they are only up for a few days at a time, and fortunately everyone else in the house is very understanding for those days! Some day I hope to have enough space to make a permanent layout.

  • Where did you get TGV?

  • @kuba105000 It is his own custom model. He made it going by the work of someone else.

  • How about an Amtrak Acela? Or maybe a tram?

  • @bartybum Just got the LEGO Public Transport set #8404, so this may very well spark an interest in trams! Must figure out a way to motorize the one in that set first... :)

  • @LEGO9vtrainfan The public trasport traim can possibly be motorized using a seperate drive tire and covering the track with some bricks to provide traction.

Another way i can think of is using a couple of motors in the front and back of the tram.

Love the way it swivels on the center piece though.

  • I loved your custom high speed european lego trains. I wish MTH would make an ICE 3 train in O scale since I loved your lego model. So when are you going to make a Shinkansen?

  • @Trainmaster189 Thanks for your comments! For me the inspiration for building a model normally comes after traveling on the train itself, hence my European focus so far since I spent some months working in Germany. I've been thinking about a Shinkansen though, and I may have the opportunity to travel to Japan next year, so we shall see!

  • how many cars does the TGV have it looks like alot?

  • @357lego Two engines plus 8 passenger cars, the same as the standard SNCF configuration.

  • how do you make those are there any instructions for them

  • how do you curve the tracks so its wide turn can you do a tutorial

  • @legocaptainfordo More information on making long curves from straight pieces of LEGO 9V track can be found in issue #1 of the free online magazine Railbricks (Google search). I like the idea of doing a video tutorial as well, so hopefully I can try this in the coming months -- cheers!

  • You've got some fantastic builds! Do you have a flickr page?

  • awesome ! super !

  • haha cool stuff man !!!! :)

  • i'l Subscribe!

  • Felicitation! =)

C'est très agrèable de régarder vous vidéos.

  • Nice movie man, what kind of cameras you used for putting on the trains?

  • @SegaMario Thanks for your comments! I use the video mode on two small point-and-shoot digital cameras, a Canon SD600 and Canon SD880 IS, both from a few years ago. For some of the shots, I stick them to the top of the train with a gob of sticky-tac, which comes off cleanly and seems to do the trick (the cameras aren't too heavy, though they have fallen off sometimes...). It's all pretty low-tech, but I've been pleased with the interesting angles that can be achieved with this setup. Cheers!

  • how long does it take to make one train?

  • could you put the original build plans on a web site?

  • wheres the best place to get lots of straight pieces?

    thanks

  • grey train won the race :D where do you get all those lego pieces you have like a million per train 0_o

  • @brickerproductions the grey train is the tgv (train à grande vitesse) in english high speed train

  • Looks like fun
