  • Thank you, good tutorial.

  • thanks, awesome man! All this time and I never knew that you should save it as PNG :P

  • thanks it really helped!

  • why when i make layer i cant duplicate it? after i do all the dots i press layer and i need to make DUPLICATE as i sad.. but i cant.. why?

  • Thanks, you really helped me!

  • i can't i choose current path, its grayed

  • thanks alot u really helped me

  • Now I can make renders easier than what I used to do haha xD

  • Thank you so much. This is exactly what I've been looking for.

  • HELP: i did what you said and it ended up with me having no face just background. help please?

  • Thank you. I just got Photoshop CS3 and I couldn't figure out how to render. This helped a lot!

  • wow its owasam and its in details thx a lot !!!!!!!

  • wow u guys are noobs

  • ArousingAdmiration actually made a good point.... you're creating too many unnecesary dots, plus the edges on the cut out won't look good.. why don't you just make curves? after all, that's what the pen tool is mostly used for, especially in these situations

  • This is the best tutorial I've seen on rendering! Thanx for sharing!

  • oh shit its raiden from MGS 2- Rising (OH SHIT). LAWL

  • thx ^^

  • MOAR DOTS MOAR DOTS!!!!!

  • Awesome tutorial the best I've found, Congratulations ^-^

  • When I open my render to copy and paste it onto another file, it just shows up blank HELP!!!!!!!!

  • Looked for a while on youtube to find a render vid. This one was perfect! Cheers mate!

  • U r the best...awesome vid..^^

now i can make my own render..thx for the tutorial..

  • Thanks for explaining what a render is in the first 30 seconds.

There are about a billion videos about rendering that don't even explain this.

It amazes me that some people can make tutorials without actually explaining what they are doing.

    Nice job.

  • thx

  • thnx great help ;)

  • 5/5 Subscribed

  • I liked what you did :P

  • Thnx A Lot !! :)

  • You are the BEST!!!! thank you !!1

  • thanks so much, and really well explained!

  • thanks ^___^

  • THANKS THAT WAS EASY

  • When im selecting ive got color blue what should i do with this help pleazzzzzzzz :)

  • Ok i figure it out :D yay , Thanks alot man keep it up ;)

  • thanks!

  • The pen tool doesn't draw just a straight line. It can curve too. After you click your second point (dot?), don't let go of your cursor button, and then you can move the cursor to curve the live wherever you want it to go. and then after that, you can let go, and then Alt + Click the second point you made. and then repeat. :D It takes less time to do :3

  • I just did this following your video. Great tutorial 5/5. Thanks for uploading.

  • thx!

  • thanks man very informational

  • What if you want to render multiple things from the picture? Can you still do that?

  • i cant do any of this it just dosent work for me

  • isnt there an easy way ...i mean you put a image in a program and 2 seconds later its done

  • You don't have to use pen tool all the time. You could use your "quick selection tool", then outline it(making sure your using add to selection, selecting the INVERSE), then right clicking the selection, and clicking "MAKE WORK PATH", keeping it 2.0, and click okay. ;DD Its somthing I do to get the job done quicker, easier, and much less sloppy, since i'm an impatient person. but, thats another way to do it. USE THE PEN TOOL IF ITS MORE COMFORTABLE AND SUITABLE TO YOU. ;D

  • That was a great job explaining. :3

  • hey man

i have loads of image renders saved as .PNG files but how do i open them in photoshop as a new layer?

  • u gotta go to paint. and save it as a JPG

  • No you dont you asshole. JPGs make a white background

SixShot: Open the image from File. Then Select All on the opened image, and cut. Then close the image, go back to your original image and paste it in, as it will do a new layer

  • dumbass if ur not retarded u would just open the render and magic eraser. good job ur so.. retarded

  • Thank alot for this tut man

  • good job man you rock

  • thanks alot man really appreciate that!

  • lmao try doing this shit when ur blazed on train wreck!

  • Nice job man :) thnx for the explenation~

  • dude thats cool but do u know a site to download like those pics?

  • really a nice job :) clear and useful as a turorial need to be

  • Thanks, glad you liked

  • thanks 5 stars

  • Thanks A Lot!!!

  • Pretty cool... except that you took alot after you actually made the selection.

All you had to do was Layer from background->Select Inverse->Delete and you have a transparent background. Then save it in PNG format.

That did help explain masks though so that was pretty good.

  • I did know about that, I just prefer certian methods, plus this is good for people who aren't as experienced

  • @SivilArk Or you could have just done Right click -> Create Vector Mask -> Right click that layer -> Convert to Smart Object -> Rasterize Layer And then Save, but they all come to the same result

  • if you change your channel type to director you can go over the limit

  • really? What's the time limit for directors?

  • idk i think its like 15 minutes or 20 or something, around there...

  • thought 20 minutes

  • @haxmurderface 10 hours.

  • Sweet tutorial,thanks m8

  • every other tutorial on rendering would not let me create a vector masque. yours worked really and allowed me. thank you so much. my advice would be to create more!

  • thanks bro

  • Absolutley fantasic tutorial, thank you.

  • wow good job! thanx for explaining everything

  • awsome thanks

  • thx sooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuch

  • Thats pretty cool! I wish I had Photoshop >:/

  • awsome job man i just got photoshop cs3 extended and now im gonna start trying out things and make new sigs for my accounts on websites.

  • nice tutorial...didnt work on mine but i think i need to change the format. thanks for the advice anyway =]

  • I clicked on layer but i can't choose any options..

  • Make sure you've duplicated the layer first, if you haven't duplicated it, you will rarely be able to actually edit new layers.

Also, I can't remember which format it is, But I do know that some image formats do not allow multi-layers, you may want to try with another image, in another format, to see if this is the case.

  • Yeah thanks, i tried a diff. picture and it worked, thanks

  • Thank you, glad you liked it

  • cool thanks!

  • very good tutorial...i really needed this advice for my halo 3 signatures ;)

  • dude please make a sig tutorial ive wathced like 20 tutorials before this one and this is the only one i understood

  • awesome video!

  • I'm glad you liked it

  • I think a sig tutorial might be next, I'm just thinking on what kind of style to make it...there's so may ways to design your sig

  • This helped me alot! This is my first render and i think i did really good for my first time.

And for more tutorials, a sig tutorial would be nice.

  • haha nice make some more vids for us noobs, ive been watchin a lot of tuts lately.
