  • Superior since 1930, i just love it

  • watch the military 7.62x25 surp ammo most of it is steel core. use a magnet and see witch ones stick the ones that so are steel core!!!!!!

  • I want to imagine such a thing!

  • dude you bastardized the toke! why did you get a manual safety?

  • AMMo .............1200 round case for 200 bucks not bad

  • whats the difference with most copys and real russian ones?

  • Did you say that it's a .30 or a .38 Caliber Bullet, my brother?

  • do you have the star with the circle inside on the grips?

  • tokarev its russian not romanian WTF

  • @Tommi798 lol dude there are a ton of romanian made tokarevs...

  • @Tommi798 no,it's a romanian pistol,my father have one

  • Do you still live in the islands? I just bought one of these and am wondering if you know antone who will ship surplus ammo to Hawaii?

  • Nice video, but I don't think that the ammo is cheap for this gun. Don't get me wrong. I love mine and the gun itself is cheap, but the 7.62 x 25mm runs about $21 for a box of 50. Compare that to 9mm which is around $15. Granted, it's not super expensive, but it's not what I would classify as cheap. The harder thing is finding it though. I've had to order all my ammo online.

  • which one did you say can be converted to shoot 9mm? Sorry, can't hear.

  • no full length guide rod like a M-57.

  • man the Tokarev is one of my favorite pistols nasty little round at close range the round can go through most forms of bullet resistant vests

  • Those Hogue Grips will wear off the blueing.

  • Hey Dakine, do you know of any modern handguns chambered for this caliber?

  • @TACTICALCHICKENSTRIP i been wondering the same...so far i dont think there are any

  • Comment removed

  • @wbtrex08 no SUCH THING

  • What would you compare the kick to?

  • where do you get the amml from? plan on getting one of these in july.

  • where did you get the replacement grips?

  • Very good presentation, very good pistol, i knew it well when I served in romanian army. Cheers.

  • How much is the ammo on average?

  • Is it more comfortable with the houge grip? Or is the pistol still weird to hold due to the grip angle?

  • you get used to the odd angle after a few rounds.

  • nothing the same as 1911, it is a very different gun

  • @MrBeast758 They both have similar shape except TT33 has a more vertical grip. They both must have the recoil spring depressed before rotating the barrel bushing, and releasing the pressure of the spring. They both must have the slide stop removed before the slide can be taken off (However the TT has an actual way of locking the slide stop in place whereas the 1911 doesn't). The barrel bushing/recoil spring/barrel are all removed the same way. The rest is different/simplified.

  • @MrBeast758 To say it's it's a very different gun from the 1911? You must be blind. This design is totally borrowed from Browning and The Colt 1911, the barrel, the link, the spring differs, but is the same place, the barrel bushing, what are you, insane?

  • @MrBeast758 wait, your a Page fan, I pardon you.

  • Has any one else found and Finnish ammo? I bought 10 25rd boxes from 1954. I cant find out any details on it besides it was repacked and was considered "inferior quality" on the box. I dont want to shoot it, its just a historical value to me...

  • I haven't even been able to find a gun that shoots this round.

    I'm pissed.

  • @RayAir1 w w w (dot) gunbroker (dot) c o m /Auction /Search Results .a spx

    (please remove spaces)

Most of them are under $300.

  • @ComradeCoD

    Thanks. I will check.

  • @RayAir1 JG sales has them for 200 bucks right now.

  • nice

  • what model of gun did the package say those houge grips that you have fit ?.

  • Absolutely! I just got one, from SOG too, for $169.95 on Xmas sale, and I LOVE IT!

  • Thats where i got mine. But mine was on sale for $160

  • Use the Czeck Round fr real penateration !!

  • where did you find those grips?

I haven't been able to find replacement grips anywhere

  • @PrepSurvivor those are just regular houge slip on grips trimmed

  • @dakine425

    oh alright.

    Thanks man, I appreciate it.

  • @PrepSurvivor anytime and thanks for checking out the video

  • @PrepSurvivor go to cz52grips(.)com...they have nice cz ergo grips...

  • @buryourdead21

    Oh fantastic, thanks man.

    I appreciate that.

  • @PrepSurvivor No prob, I was watching a bunch of cz vids first and dident notice this vid was for a TT, so the cz52grips site might not help you, but this one will.... marschalgrips(.)com good luck

  • @PrepSurvivor

Marshall Grips has custom grips for many soviet pistols. Tokarevs, makarovs, CZ, FEG and others.

  • i HATE you. you didnt shoot it at all

  • Nice one i got one aswell.

  • "Came straight to my door" ahahaha ! We don't get weapons deliveries in Canada...

  • @DrakeGmbH @yourredcomrade717 is it really worth buying another Tokarev based on my situation? I got a man handled beat up Polish one that looked good on the outside but the internals have been giving problems. Hammer light strikes, feeding ramp and throat needs to be constantly repolished, the slide stop doesnt engage w/out maganize inserted, and now the spring is acting up, im also scared my slide is getting bent out of shape. is it possible as hot as the round is, it just slowly destroys it

  • What is the sight picture like? To my untrained eye it looks like the read sight is much higher.

    cheers

  • lol about the only cartridge that a 9mm actually looks big next to

  • Pronounce it as TO-kharev. The stress goes on the O after the T.

  • where did you get that grip add on ?

the only complain i have about TT is its grip

  • @ Notlkeman: Just like regular ammo cleanup, we just make sure to clean thoroughly as soon as we get back home. Have 3, and 12 mags; never jams. You see my 5 mag dump video? These guns are not the most accurate, but a supreme hoot to shoot, and easy to load. Just love 'em.

  • We get the corrosive Eastern European ammo, in bulk, for like less than 7 cents a round; shoot the living crap out of it with no jams. Just clean the beast when we are home drinking Yuenglings. See my 5-mag dump video with no jams ever.

  • @verobeachbob1 How do you go about cleaning after shooting corrosive ammo?

  • my uncle has this

  • i hate it when people copy russian guns, especially the chinese and iraky they just copy all russian guns FUCK

  • I kill a large cocodrile than atack me while I was spining fishing at san juan river nicaragua with a tokarev pistol 7.62 by two times in the head and four in the body

  • when you said its similar to the colt 1911 its because its main frame is off the 1911

  • Shot one of these in Poland. It was that old and rattly, I wasn't sure it was gonna stay in one piece.

The Soviets apparently issued two types of ammo; pistol, for the Tokarev and sub-machinegun, for the PPsh, which was a lot more powerful, though visually identical.

  • how is the bulgarian ammo? I heard some bad stuff about them, do they shoot fine?

  • @shawnsent They shoot great, no misfires or anything. And i like them because they're non-corrosive.

  • @dakine425 Like the vid man:-)

  • @shawnsent .... try Chinese and Pakistani ammo also ... its cost effective .... where it is called M 20 / Type 54

  • Great video, intro too.

  • @SRCDLC Thanks for checking it out

  • THANK-YOU FOR THE "SELF-LOADING" VS. AUTO AND/OR SEMI-AUTOMATIC. I WILL BE YOU THAT FROM NOW ON AND GENTLY CORRECTING THE UNINFORMED.

  • @sgt79lachance Thank you for watching

  • Looks great and comfortable also with that grip. Where'd you get the hogue grip from? I got a Yugo one coming. I know they're a bit larger and heavier bulit, what grip might fit on it? You think they have a slightly larger one?

  • @Omnignosis I'm also waiting on a Yugo Tok, The houge slip on grip i have for the Romanian is the full size one. Though i had to trim it to fit. I think the full sized slip on grip will be just right for the Yugo.

  • @dakine425

Sounds usable. I wil try it. Thanks for the vid, and enjoy your Md57!

  • Great Vid. Gotta love a C&R.

  • @AA550cord yup can't beat to your door delivery. And of course most C&R firearms are proven.

  • i have the nerinco i pulled the 9 mm barrel out and never put it back in the gun

  • @madmac451 At least you have the option to put the barrel back if you want. I don't think the Romanian ones ever came with a 9mm barrel.

  • @madmac451 why did you removed the barrel?

  • @madmac451 why did you removed the barrel? is there something wrong with the gun?

  • I like the vid with the new cam

  • @omegalopez71 Thanks lighting and color is a little off. Hope i can fix that

  • @theArmedJanitor Thanks, I just use a slip on Hougue grip sleeve. It's the full size one but i had to trim a little bit of it. I think the smaller slip on houge grip would be a lot better.

  • Nice...hope you do a full review with some shooting. I'd like to pick up a military surplus pistol one day.

  • @venturahwy76 I most likely will, this was just more of a test video to try out a new camera and test the new intro.

  • Ilike the intro and love the 7.62x25 , ive got a norinco tokarev

  • @glock10mm The norincos are cool. Do you have the conversion barrel also to shoot 9mm?

  • @dakine425 no i did have a compleat gun in 9mm but sold it a long time ago , i do remember that they also had 38 super conversions also

  • Liked the intro..and great review..!!! LIKE

  • @goddieone Thanks man, glad you liked it.

  • These used to be really popular over here in the early 90's in the criminal circles. One of the reasons was the rounds excellent performance against body armor.

  • @gsxkatana I've read that, and i would believe it. It's also pretty slim and good for conceal carry. For the law abiding citizen of course:)

  • hey the Tok's arent slouches, they hit pretty hard and are VERY good penerators.

I've seen really interesting sabot loads with 223 bullets to make a poor mans

FN 5.7x28,with some pretty serious ballistics

druthers?? they are sooooo loud!!! and the muzzle flash is impressive to say the least. cool vid Dakine..thanks man

    Dude

  • @80spodcastchannel Thanks, yea it is loud. In an indoor range it's even louder. Thanks for checking out the video

  • I like the intro. As far as the video quality, I can't really tell a difference.

I think Rugersix said something about those "behind the trigger" safeties being retrofitted so that they could be imported. Is that true? If so, does that mean they had to be carried in single action with no safety? or uncocked? I could be having a lapse of memory.

  • @Riflemanm16a2 yea seems like it's all in the encoding, didn't really notice a difference in quality also. Rugersix was correct they do have install manual safeties to bring them in. I guess the originals were carried without a round in the chamber or chambered and hammer down or half cocked.

  • I really dig the intro....nice camera too man....

  • @gwargwar1981 Thanks man, probably needs more tweaking but it's a start. Lovin your videos too, keep em comin

  • Interesting pistol you've got there. I wonder why they didn't go with one of the more popular rounds.

  • @m16mang The round was based off of the old 7.63x25mm Mauser. It's a pretty potent round.

  • First time i have seen one of those. Looks sick. Good to see something different.

  • @onslaught42 Thanks, there are a lot of videos on this pistol Check out Rugersix's video review on it. One of the best ones out there.

  • @dakine425 I love the intro brother a bit like Pete's but not lol !!!! Cheap gun with a manstopper round bro reminds me of a Lorcirin !!! Camera quality is spot on good stuff

  • @SauerTongues4 Yup it does looks similar to Pete's, I actually got the idea from a Call of Duty video on youtube. Thanks for checking out the video. Hopefully i'll have more time to make more.

  • thanks for the vid

  • @MrAnthonymoss Thanks for watching

  • I like the intro. Maybe a little more light on the gun. Seemed a tad dark.

  • @multicam2000 Yea it didn't look as dark in the LCD screen. Also the color looks kind of different.

  • cool

  • @willwood487 Thanks

  • An uncle of mine picked one of these up and he loves it! I have never seen the 7.62X25 untell I saw that pistol. Weird seeing this video today. Great video bro, nice intro

  • @Goindeff You should definitely get one, they're cheap and the ammo is also cheaper compared to the other calibers. It's a good work horse. Would look good next to your AK

  • pretty potent round . Did you get my pm?

  • @krazy45cat It definitely is. I did get your PM and answered. I just got around to answering them, sorry. Thanks

  • nice vid Dakine.

I'll getting mine by the end of the week.(if the license comes in that is....)

I found a brand new 1946 tula one. set me back 225 euro what is about 300 $.

man this thing is so much fun too shoot.

    Me like ;o)

  • @robin6512 That is a great deal. How are the ammunition prices there?

  • @dakine425 s&b about 15 euro= 17$. no surplus found...yet.

    When buying 1000 i'll get a 10% reduction.

  • Great video and I like the new intro. Keep up the great work.

  • @edgedweapon88 Thanks, wish I had more time to get more videos out.
