How beautiful. I closed my eyes and felt myself floating up from a desert to a cold, quite snow capped mountain..I was surrounded my your piano and pure white as far as I could see..behind me was a double rainbow and then as I was almost asleep.....my dog licked my face and brought me back to my humble office !!!! :) I'll take the dog out and hit re-play. Thanks for posting:)
im so exited with the melody. so simple, but so amazing.. can you teach me how to play that? just send me email to karenaapa@live.com ..... i'll be waiting. i hope you wanna teach me... god bless you abundantly... i'll pray for you from indonesia.... :)
I noticed on ur bio u said u found a good jazz teacher in your mid twenties. How do you tell a good one from a bad one? Because i'm gonna start looking for one!
I am a fan of jazz music ....... a celestial and profound sound with beatiful piano chords in C key . honestly I was impressed.I can not read music, but a force to review the movie as I have learned nearly half.........thank you very much. Edoardo D'Incà Levis, Prague (but italian)
Listening to this I thought it ran about 10 minutes. That is how calming it is, you loose track of time. "Meditation", like prayer you start and just get lost in it. Bless you for sharing and Bless God for inspiring you.
this was very nice, very good. i come up with various chord patterns all the time, but i need to work on my fingering with the right hand, as well as incorporating more randomness
This reminds me of Keith Jarrett's Staircase album in terms of tone quality and the mood of sober melancholy - but I think this is more satisfying. A lovely sound - thank you
amazing, so glad I subscribed. I'm currently trying to make my way through a john mehegan jazz book with little success. I need a good teacher, your videos make me want to progress
I use overhead camera on tripod set on a table. For audio, I record Ivory piano in Logic on a MacBook Pro. Digital keys from midikeyz, which is still in beta, but almost ready for sale. I layer the videos in Final Cut or ScreenFlow and add movie track sound in Logic. Convoluted, but works.
Hey 7notemode, It would be really cool if you could explain more about how you sync the video with the midi sound. Do you use the inbuilt mics to make the sync?

Personally think that this is great as an exercise and although nice to listen to, it's a bit cheesy and can be a bit dull.
It's great for free impro, but i just felt as if it wasn't going anyway - lacking direction because a lot of it was the same (because you've limited yourself to C)....great playing in C...dull music IMO
So beautiful and touching. Thank you very much :)

such a rich soul you have...
i am a self taught pianist and i use predominantly the black keys.
If you dont mind could you give me a tip on accessing the white keys with the help of memory and the like? This would be much appreciated!
