@krzfly first of all I tend to think I do know something since I own an sc 300, I owned an sc 400 motor& tranny & later sold it to do a 2jz-gte swap( jdm motor) in my car! But I guess I don't know Shit? The drive shafts are not the same on the sc 300 & 400. The sc3 is U joint & the sc4 trans is 3 prong male. The only reason I know this is because I had to get a driveshaft from an sc 400 an get custom ends made. I had to use the whole oil pan off of the stock sc motor so it could fit.

@88DriftKid88 I have to dissagree w ya. The V160 will hold way more hp than the R154 any day. however if you swap out 1st gear the R154 will hold 1000hp easy. the V160 is the mcdaddy of all trannys, thus the price of $3,999 for a rebuilt one.

GTE + That exhaust and turbo setup = 7-8k (That estimate is without a rebuild)

V160 = 4-5k

6-speed rear = Not sure, but im guessing not cheap

Lots of other parts and fluids are needed for the swap that will probably get up to 1-2k

The Mechanic will charge tons to do all this work, i wouldnt be surprised to see a 10k bill or more for the labor and tuning.

yeah 1jz - 2jz is an easy swap especially if you use a W series trans or v160/v161. you just have to be carefully if you purchase a r154 that it's from a 1jz and not 7m as they have different length bellhousing

If you swap out to the soarer r154 your good for 700hp.

700Hp through an R box? Will last for a while but will eventually kill it. Go Getrag for anything over 650Hp for reliability.
