@shane8109 It depends. I can use this on a number of tripods I have but none of them is really flimsy. You can make a stand for it or, depending on the weight of your camera, make a lighter version. I had a metal bed frame I got cheap so that's what I used. Good luck!
@VisorBlue Yeah they came up Friday. The hosting site for the images was down for maintenance. Thanks, I combined your design with another one I saw to make one as well. I like how you incorporated the tripod arm to angle up and down!! That was crafty!
@DCMoverz Check "show more" in my notes under the video to see a link. No step-by-step instructions but there's pictures of most of what i did. Hope it helps.
AWESOME and very well done! Is there anyway you could show the handle and title options a little bit? You showed the camera tilting but not the handle and how it connects, and how it locks in place when you're not tilting it.
@Congiano Hi. It's attached to the tripod head with a longer piece on it. Tilting the head up/down pulls/pushes the lower rail piece causing the camera to tilt. There's a link to a discussion with pictures in the video's description.
this is in phoenix isnt it?

@VisorBlue Thanks for letting me know. I've got a german tripod which is nice but might not support it.

Thanks for the reply but for some reason the images from that page are not showing. Do you have the info posted somewhere else?

@DCMoverz I just checked and they look fine here. That's the only place I've posted them.

@DCMoverz Glad you found the pictures. The tilting is nice but does require some manual dexterity. Good luck!

I just want to say , I like when people build things that they actually use and share.

@bcbudful Thanks! I, too, get lot from people sharing. So, it's only fair that I do it as well.

@Pebblewalkak76 You can use whatever you like. I used a Canon HV30 for my tests.

This is amazing, the dark colours of the frames makes it look professional also haha.

Yeah, I was going to paint it black but I'm kind of liking the industrial look of it. :-)

Great Test and it did a bloody good job of the track shot
Nice for a home brew bit of kit

Thanks. I need to use it more and learn to smoothly control the manual tilting and crane movements. This was the very first use.
One cool thing is that it can be used as a camera boom, too. Set the height you want and let go.
