i found out about daft punk and cot copy at the same time. through two completely different sources. its weird that everyone compares them. i personally think theyre both sweet and have a great sound but their styles are too diverse for them to compete with eachother. and daft punk ftw anyway

You can't even imagine that Cut /// Copy make same music as Daft Punk. The aussies are and inde electronic music band and daft punk is house, but a bit different with a 8 bit sound. Daft Punk was one of the best emblematics electronic djs/producers. But the both are really good bands

i'm pretty sick and tired of all this daft punk crap. cut copy actually sing on their tracks. vocals make any track 80% better in my opinion. as good as daft punk r electronically, I prefer cut copy.

Not really, Daft Punk puresampled older music from the 80s and 70s and didnt rely so much on covering vocals. They wanted to make beats.

Cut Copy is intentionally going for a retro/new wave 80's sound through remixing.

The reverb-fade in and out is very Daft Punkesque though.
