Sure Tony is a cold blooded murdering SOB, but he can also be a sensitive and caring person, as seen in other episodes.We know he loves animals and we have all seen his soft side. Well, believe it or not, it was his sensitive side that decided to kill Chris.Chris only cared about losing his license, Tony seeing the mangled baby seat in the back, realized Chris would continue to get high and possibly get into an accident and kill the baby or reveal what they did to Ralph.

@youaremylife221 no tony said "WHAT?" when chris said he would never pass a drug test, if you ever saw goodfellas henry became a target by the mob when he could have gotten out of prison if he ratted on the rest of the crew and he did, sending pauly and jimmy to prison, so tony was preventing chris from ratting to save his own ass, the baby seat only pushed tony over the edge. it was not the main reason.
