Wow! looks like you have the working phenomonally!
any chance you may be able to tell me how you got your ethernet / sound / video drviers (or kexts) to work? I have the same motherboard, but haven't had quite as much luck..
@nextowicked actually ethernet worked out of the box... the video won't, you'll need a graphics card (a cheap decent nvidia n8800, 9400, 9500gt force will be more than a enough) about the sound google for voodoo kext that should do the trick... i recommend to go to iosx86 forums (insanelymac) they are more pro than me. i just got lucky i guess...
well i have tryed hackintosh IT's GREAT!!!But i'm a man who playes games and get programs that are with high price for FREE!!!For me it wasn't very good games lags , 80% less games than windows !!! SO if you use your computer just for watching youtube ,visiting websites, use for work MAKE IT HACKINTOSH NOW!!!
I don't know why more people don't do this! Why pay for a macbook when you can put this on pretty much anything? I just installed Mac OS X on a super old laptop I had laying around and after a few trial and errors I got it to work perfectly! haha great video
On the ps2 drivers in the install option, I check only one of the 2 options (the top one). After install, reboot... working mouse and keyboard. I'm using the apple keyboard and a "Rocketfish apple bluetooth mouse" (bluetooth dongle is connected in the keyboard... nearer is better connection and longer battery!)
About the fan, at that time I used the cpu original fan. It was enough to keep it at 3.67Ghz at a reasonable temps! But since I wanted to push the limits, I got a low profile cpu I guess it's by Samurai! I didn't even cost $20. If you are reasonable in over clocking and usage, then you really don't need such an expensive or massive cooler. That's for die hard core OC clockers! I don't use any heavy apps, so I keep it moderate, but faster than default settings ; )
For those wondering about nvidia 9500 gt... works pretty much from a custom install in osx86 tools. (no kexts needed). just go to install video card, custom, type "nVidia GeForce 9500 GT", ram "512mb" (in my card), last choose your output set up, in my case dvi to vga. Make sure gl/ quartz is "on" from inside osx86 tools... restart and enjoy the effects!!
nice video. I have a hackintosh too. gigabyte g31, 4gb ddr2-800, 320sata all works fine, but I need a good video card like your nvidia 9500gt because Im only have g3100 graphics video on board and I dont have QE and hardware acceleration :(
depends what you need. Ethernet, sound, graphics?? etc.
I can tell you quickly that the graphics are not supported, so you'll need graphics card (nvidia geforce seems to be well supported)! the sound kext is in the install set up. (Azalia something like that). ethernet, search in the insanelymac forums for the 'AttansicL1EEthernet' kext, that'll get you internet! hope that is a start.
what were the drivers installed for the ethernet? I have a motherboard the same card but my internet does not work, but does not have network ip.
