  • someone smart please help me

i liked this video :) AQ

  • Todd is a moron, the average pay of GM workers is 40-50K a year.

  • Last I knew the president made $400,000 has that changed???

  • yup, he still makes that much.

  • I lived in Japan and S. Korea for five years. Guess what vehicles I saw on the roads? Politically it was/is stated, without prejudice, to buy local and was told repeatedly when I returned home (Canada) to buy their brands. Nixon, for all his criminality said it best when you decided to go off the gold standard and become a debtor nation - as long as we buy American we will be okay -blaming unions and legacy costs for market share losses is nothing more than scapegoating.

  • Also I'm tired of these weak as democrats they put on these shows.

  • Republicans hate unions because they want to keep the working class poor and working for less . It's plain and simple why pay the guy 18 dollars when I can pay him 5 ,or just ship his job over seas for cheaper labor.

  • Just send the money to me and I will buy a new car. :P

  • Only problem with the liberal there is the workers make $27 if they are experienced, $32 if specialised.

The latest union contract states new workers can make less with less or no benefits.

The $78 the conservative once used near the end was a GM human resources figure that calculated all wages and benefits and divided by hours worked.

But those included retiree and i believe hourly, not salary costs for every employee which doesnt properly reflect pay of the majority of workers.

  • In other words, the figure was complete bullshit.

  • Why dont I ever here the repubs ever blame upper management for anything, not even a 1/3 of the problem.

Do the GOP think the execs should make cuts?

Even then, retiree benefits are definitely an issue, but it definitely should not affect current worker wages.

Not that UAW employees are even making that much more then toyota employees. Take out retiree benefits and separate that from employee costs and see that they compare quite close to toyota who can survive.

  • Oh and these banks like Citigroup shoved the bankruptcy bill down Americas throat. Try going bankrupt as a citizen. But if you're Citigroup the government gives you billions.

The last thing America needs is fewer union jobs.

  • It's not just American unionized car companies that are in trouble. Nissan and Mazda, are all in deep trouble.
