No octaver there -- I used an Echoplex to loop the initial melody that I played and then I played the melody an octave above that one. I also used the Echoplex to record and loop the rhythm part.
I was trying to play what I heard melodically, but if you broke it down into scales, I'd say Dorian or Aeolian on the I and IV minor chords, Lydian b7 on the bVI7 and Altered on the dominant V.
No, it's not stereo - you'd need 2 units for that. But the sound quality is excellent and it's very versatile. Also, a lot of fun to screw around with.
Hey. Rhythm part (chords) you played by pick or fingers? Sounds like finger, but the empty hit in the middle sounds like it was picked.

its good except its missing the bass line. That's like the most important part of the song!

Yeah, I know -- the bass player and drummer went outside for a smoke while I recorded this - sorry . . .

k cool, yeah i have a crappy digitech jamman but its the best thing i can afford at the moment.

I've seen used Echoplex D.P.s on e-bay for reasonable prices -- check it out.
redavide1 4 years ago
yeah i will, the jamman muddies up to easily and is mono thats my only gripe. Is the echoplex stereo channel?

exiting(really!!).. but i think the minor blues turnaround is the most exiting parts and you dont seem to emphasis on that..
