  • I was at this gig - 30 years on, it still shines out in my memory. I miss the Lizzy, and even though when we get together to roll back the years - without Phil it's a bit of a Chinese meal, like it don't fill you up - know what I mean?

  • Still makes me sad that Phil left this earth so soon, too soon. They never quite broke America, Lizzy, but they influenced *alot* of bands. If Phil hadn't been so unhealthy, there's no doubt Lizzy would've broken the US in a big way. It wasn't to be.

  • You hear that bass? You fucking hear that fucking bass?!

Love it! Prob in my top 3 fav Thin Lizzy songs!

  • Funny...no one in the US ever gave a shit about Phil or the band until he died.

  • @grgoldner With the exception of "The Boys Are Back in Town" they still don't give a shit unfortunately.

  • @grgoldner Coz Americans are DUMB fucking idiots !!!! What a race of stupid cunts !

  • @1986Lynott yet another big mouth twat, gutless puke hiding behind the computer

  • @1986Lynott HAHAHA! "American" isn't a race, dumbass.

  • @grgoldner "No one"--fuck off. As a kid I never knew Phil or Thin Lizzy wasn't big in the US, as 93 KDKB out of Phoenix played the tunes regularly along with other big artists. I only learned of the shameful lack of commercial appreciation much later. I never saw evidence of it in the record shops growing up in Flagstaff.

  • so happy i found the best live version of my fav Lizzy song

  • Great song!

  • Renegade is not their best album but Thin Lizzy are one of few bands that I can without a doubt say that there is not a bad album in their entire discography.

  • .......look in his eyes

  • Calling Phil Lynott a man is an insult.............HES A GOD

  • 0:43 nigel tufnel?! :D

  • Mr. Lynott was just the coolest!!

  • Music Died When Phil Left Us! A Modern Poet!

  • Music really died when Phil left us! A modern poet.

  • He's a man that doesn't fit...

  • Renegade must be one of the most underrated rock albums ever. How could you argue with absolutely brilliant tracks like "Renegade", "No One Told Him", It's Getting Dangerous" etc. and the beautiful poetry they contain. Phil really sang his ass off on that album, and his whole heart out too, for that matter. Long live the memory of Philip Lynott.

  • @gramhound86 yes!

  • @gramhound86 because there is too much filler on it, to be taken seriously...even though there are those excellent tracks that you mentioned. i would also give a shout to Hollywood (down on your luck), Angel of Death, and The Pressure Will Blow, as being good tracks on the Renegade album...but stuff like Leave This Town and Fats are just crap, while Mexican Blood is awful...still, that's only my opinion

  • @heavenhelp1982 "Its Getting Dangerous" is a underated track as well

  • @krisg6 yeah i agree...that is one of the better songs on the album.

  • 1:39 Look in he's eyes

  • 1.39 Look in he's eyes

  • this is just amazing

best bit for me is when he realy feels the groove kickin in and he gives it the beans on the vocals..... 1:16..... epic band.... legends

  • Grrrrandiose! A big touch of class and feeling. Miss you Phil.....

  • LOVE IT THANKS

  • Awesome vid! Thanks!

  • I acutally liked Snowy White, As well as John sykes

  • Fantastic!

  • @son6ics

its the Renegade album,,concert i dont know ,,good luck

  • How do you get this concert? I've never seen it on dvd. Although I'm not a fan of the Snowy White (god he's dull here) or John Sykes era I think the songs from this gig actually sound quite good. And Phil seems in fine form - but it's quite scary to think how much he must have gone down hill after this gig because in 83 he looked terrible and overweight.

  • @liberatedcitizens

some of my favorite stuff from them is when Lynott was physically losing it. His voice got better the puffier and sicker he got. I'm not trying to glamourize his self destruction, but Lizzy's 80's era must not be under estimated. Chinatown, Renegade, and Thunder in Lightning are 3 of their best albums.
