sigh.. Communism is Marxist Socialism.. Saying that that Socialist countries are Communist is inaccurate... And its not dead... Most of Europe is Socialist. Socialism is the scourge of the world. Everyone who uses the Socialistic form of Government aren't really that strong Economically. Look at France, Germany, and Spain. Its a horrible system and Liberals fall into line with this system. Not good.

Bobby, Marxism and Communism Failed. Modern Socialism is now deminished to social programs, such as healthcare, social security, public education, public infastrucure and propping up financial institutions.

Very few people are willing to give up any of these, except perhaps the latter.

China is controlled by the Communist Party. But, China abandoned the old system decades ago. It's capitolism that drives China now.

However Social programs that help secure the well being of citizens have greatly improved the health of nations that provide such programs. Those who oppose these programs use words like Socialized and Socialism to frighten christian Americans. The irony is Jesus taught we should tend the sick and feed the hungry.

Very Americans can't afford to get sick today. If they are sick they fear missing work. If they are too sick to work they loss their Health Care, and end up with thousands of dollars in HC bills.

That is wrong and makes no economic sense. #1 cause of bankruptcy is HC. The healthy should pay for HC not the sick. That's econonicly sound and Cheaper, Yes Cheaper. Germany's had Universal HC Since 1884. We're 125yrs behind.

How do you tell the difference between the sick and not sick? If people can't afford health care they must go on a lower health care program something cheaper. Germany did not have universal health care otto von bismark made health care mandatory in its own borders.

well, teddy roosevelt, the republican icon tried to enforce universal healthcare as early as 1900 and something. it was a republican idea, bet that kills john mccain. teddy was actually quite liberal, he was a conservationist, passed the food and drug act, started the national park system. universal health care would actually be cheaper than what we have now. businesses wouldn't have to bear the burden they do now, and would increase their profits. and if people are healthier, it's better.

nothing will ever be perfect. i know that, i am neither stupid nor naive. i just think we could do better. i think insurance companies have proven that they don't have the customers' interests at heart, and as such, don't deserve our business. it is simply economically more feasible for businesses, and for the consumer to have other options. i would pay an extra five or so percent tax, in order to have decent healthcare. i'm not talking about a handout, but there has to be a better way.

Okay, let's get it right. America is a Constitutional Social/Capitalist Republic. Our goverment provides with our taxes, many programs which effect the success of our nation. There for, Socialist. European Health Care Systems are much less costly, have higher standards, elimante HC bancruptcy, put more tax payer to work and significantly lowers, yes lowers employers overhead nation wide. In short it's good economics.

There are some good thoughts in these opinions and there are some that are devoid of any evidence the person who entered them has more than 2 synaptic connections in their entire brain.

The latter group, while they cannot express an intelligent opinion on healthcare, can most likely recite professional sports stats going back 20 years.

I hope they have health insurance, because being a couch potato glued to the TV is bad for your health as well as your brain.

RideOn, health care is a RIGHT! It doesn't matter where a person is from or where they are at, they still have the RIGHT to it! If our government would work with countries like Mexico for human rights, we wouldn't have this immigration problem! But NO, we'd rather kill people in Iraq for Bush's OIL money instead. Besides, if we did a better job at allowing people to be citizens, they could pay taxes and contribute to the system like everybody else, instead of being used for cheap labor.

The way i see it right now i might keep some kind of fatal toxin on hand in case i need to end it.. It is only difficult to do that if you need to request help from the bizzaro medical establishment. Who wants to deal the "survival of the richest" twisted darwinism reality. If you get hurt the insurance companies will just humiliate you to death anyway then take your house and put your family out in the street.
