  • @Doyle141 Noop, no tabs sorry, I use my ears :)

  • Great playing as always Perco!

    thnx for posting!

  • @AXESLINGERFV Thanx buddy!

  • Nicely done-this is a great version of an often overlooked Lizzy classic. Cool tone too.

  • love it!

  • That was an awesome version of Warrior. Very nice playing, pretty sweet (and well-worn) LP there to boot. Keep on rockin'!

  • Ottimo!!!

  • Awesome job...Thin Lizzy is one of the most under rated bands ever . I had the pleasure of seeing them live in the late seventies.

  • is this song in standard e tuning? great job! have you done song dancing in the moonlight?

  • @TheRHCP2011

Noop, I'm pretty sure that Lizzy dropped the tuning a half step so after doing this you should be able to play this one in the key of E minor.

  • Nice and clean

    Very good work !

    I like it !

  • I hate to tell you this man but there is one big albino spider all over your fretboard.

  • @liamnag01 Man sounds like you seriously have to reconsider your relationship with drugs ;)

  • @perco754 I think he/she was complimenting your fingerwork, great cover

  • really not bad, a little too distorted for my taste

Thin Lizzy are a hard rock band, not metal, I prefer an overdrive for the guitar, but it is a very personal opinion ...

In any case, thank you for the video

  • You nailed it, good work!

  • u melted my face.....................class

  • class

  • fukn absolute class.......u rocked th solo...nearly melted my face

  • Hi thanks! Yes I use to hang around there but I've been too busy lately. Yes I might do a lesson on the whole song, you could also make a request for it using the Request Table!

  • One of Thin Lizzy's best and a cover damn well done! Thanks!

  • Thanx mate, I bow at your feet ;)

  • crakin solo. one of robertsons best. great job man.

  • Thanks!

  • Excellent playin' man. I'm an OLD (45) Lizzy fan and I love you playin'. I play this every once i n a while at home. Not as good as you though.

Awesome vst, will try to find it.....

    /FoX

  • Hey brilliant stuff and I'm a bit older than you at 46 :-). Good to see you playing Brians solos so well. He was a guitarist that didn't get the recognition that he deserved. Takes me back before I got in to Schenker and then guys like Becker,Malmsteen. Might post some playing on here soon. Great stuff and thanks so very much

  • Tack Fox, antar att du är svensk? Har spelat Lizzy sen det begav sig för mer än 30 år sen, fortfarande lika bar, tröttnar aldrig på dessa klassiker :D

  • One of the best guitar performances I've seen on YouTube for a long time! I wonder why there are no decent tabs online for this awesome tune =S

  • Thanks a lot! I have written tabs for the solo on this one which will be the start of my new tab-series covering guitar solos from this era. I will start a poll at YT letting users vote for the most popular ones, now I got your vote ;)

  • Min med!!!

    Warrior

  • For me this was one of thin lizzys best tunes, it has all the rock essentials in it. Long live Lizzy!!

Top notch playing Perco, that is the the best version ive heard yet, damm near perfect. Im A brian downey drummer myself. Wish you were my neighbor...lol. Peace

  • Yeah I agree, this tune is so heavy and you can here Phil's Hendrix influences in his vocals.

Brian Downey I would say, is one of the top rock drummers all time, no doubt! Hell, now I wish I was your neighbour ;)

  • When i get my video camera, im gonna start doing some thin lizzy tunes on the kit. Alot of my drummimg is pretty much in that swing/rock style. Brians drumming was always my favorite. He was a huge part of lizzy!

  • Awesome bro, thanks!! Is this in standard tuning?

  • Yes, if I'm not mistaken, Gorham and the Thin Lizzy Crew have always played in standard.

  • Thanks!

  • they did half step down for most everything except a few studio tracks, but they werent even in perfect tune. but this video was changed to be in standard video

  • Oh sorry about that then, thanks for the correction

  • Thanks bro!

Yeah almost, or, it's supposed to be anyway ;)

  • Great job! Do you know what phase shifter Lizzy used and how did they tune? The guitarists in my band are too lazy to research so as usual the drummer has to do the work! What year Les Paul are you using?

  • sounds good!, but any chance without song in background..

  • excellent

  • Perco, that was awesome; fantastic relaxed playing style. Being from the Emerald Isle I was lucky enough to see Lizzy quite a few times; you have done the song proud.

  • fukin class mate.....u well and truly melted my face..........

  • Nice playing. I'm sure Mr. Lynott would have been proud.

  • wow man you really kick ass!

  • I'm a massive lizzy fan, excellent guitar work, more Lizzy please.....wel done, 9 stars....

  • amazing song - amazing band - amazing cover, well played mate

  • your vibrato at 2:10 made me smile. Great job, where you from??

  • You are Brian Robertson- it's the only way......

  • Thanks, I'm pleased if I ever come close to his master playing ;)

  • Met him i the Dial Inn Glasgow many many moons ago. Band playing that night called the Henry Gorman Band

  • what you playin through mate it sounds spot on~!

  • Thanks!

I'm playing a VST plug-in from Softube called Metal Amp Room, the greatest plug I ever tried, so close to the real deal!

  • can you better explain what this is? sounds great and want to learn more. always chasing tone, aren't we? thanx, scottsgh

  • This is a VST plug-in from softube . com called METAL AMP ROOM

  • Try a Boss ME 50 ;-)

  • I've owned one but it's like comparing a Trabant with a Mercedes ;-) ... so I think I stick to the Benz

  • Really? I use it and find it ok ... so any more info on the VST?

  • Perco754 rocks. Very nice playing. I picked up a few pointers from this one.

  • That's just been added to my favourites!

  • Thanks for adding buddy!

  • You're absolutely right dude, I never pretend to be and even if I did, it's hard pretending being four people at the same time ;)
