  • metallica RULES the world!

  • FUCK THE BUS

  • to add to my last comment....it's interesting/sad/scary to think about what would've happened. say they decide to break up after the next album or two...and knowing that justice wouldn't have happened, or we at least know it would've been completely different. think of all the metallica music we'd miss out on, to swap it for music we have no idea what quality it would've been(with cliff). i think it was destiny to be honest, i think it was 'supposed' to happen. like cliff was the angel of metal

  • @specimen25 I was around when Justice came out. Man it was the shit..groundbreaking!!!! Garage days about the same time and then Hangar 18 from Megadeth. DAMN that was an exciting time.

  • 3:50 to 3:53 NO MEGADETH?!!! Come on, Scott! Give 'em credit!

  • LMFAO to sexy!

  • "metallica rule the world" ......... this is the most genuine sentence ive ever heard in english language.....

  • YEAH SULLY ERNA!!!!!

  • R.I.P. Burton

  • September 27, 1986: The most fucked up day ever. R.I.P Cliff Burton

The best there was and the best there ever will be!

  • You ever think of how different the world would be if Randy Rhoads, Cliff Burton, John Bonham, Jimi Hendrix and even Janice Joplin and to a point(a small one) Jim Morrison were still alive? The only reason I dont include Dime in this list is because he most assuredly made his mark on music.

  • @vonkiser don't forget elvis, i think about that stuff all the time. i think metallica would still have released albums similar to the black and load albums, cuz cliff loved to experiment with music and he liked alot of other genres(even classical). but i also think 'would we still have 'justice', would 'one' have been written?' maybe they go in a completely different direction besides alternative and thrash, maybe they come up with some new style that doesn't exist? maybe metallica breaks up...

  • @specimen25 Yea Elvis as well. Hell for that matter Ritchie Valens? He was just getting started when he got killed. Janis? damn can you imagine? The list goes on my friend...

  • If Jason is the right guy, they should never have let him leave.

  • that jim breuer comments ruin this whole production.... god, it's sooooo annoying what he says and HOW he says it.... :(((

  • they don't even talk about Ride the L ? WTF????

  • What, no mention of Dave Mustaine on Kill em All? He wrote half the fuckin songs.

  • @Doombot2point0 yeah, but he got too damn violent when he was drunk. if they didnt kick Dave out, there would be no Metallica or Megadeth.....

  • 2:57 Lars is drinking night train ohhh yeahh!!!

  • man they were ugly guy ugly metal guy! LOL

  • KILL EM ALL IS THE MOST AWESOME ALBUM EVER!!!!

  • Dio...Cliff...Dimebag...The rev...

    God is assembeling a band!

  • Hay 3 personas a las que hay que matar

  • They fucking skid Ride the lightning!

  • 4:50 that guy's on drugs

  • That would be sooooo weak to have Metallica opening for you... Like HOW THE FUCK DO I FOLLOW AFTER THAT

  • Comment removed

  • @zzzhuh megadeth was drugs :P metallica was alcohol dude

  • @BosnaDiamond ha true man

  • think how many times they had told how the accident happened with Cliff. I mean, I'm in tears to hear them say it, but having to worry about it and relate everything multiple times can not have been easy for them. all respect to Metallica. Love 'em all! ♥

  • is that jim breuer guy drunk ???:)):))

  • METAL UP UR ASSS

  • gettin nutty with us :D

  • $14-$16 to see metallica...fuck i hate how young i am.... i paid $100 too see them, but it TWAS worth it :D!

  • Metallica RULES The World!

     :)

  • cliff has a short span, but through that, he created alot....

  • could you imagine if he had made a solo album?

  • it would probably be an instrumental :O

  • i find it funmny how they skipped the whole ride the lightning record but when master of puppets is describe what song do they use in the middle of the fucking thing ????? fucking VH1

  • i wonder what metallica would sound like if dave was still in the band

  • @ryleekemash there wouldn't be any Metallica

  • lol

  • if it worked out they would probably have been a lot heavier than they are now

  • R.I.P. Cliff Burton :(

  • it's a shame how little recognition dave gets for all his work on the first few albums. Id love to meet all the ppl who think that four horsemen wasn't his idea

  • yes, but he was the one that ruined it

in metallica, if you fuck up, you are forgotten

    simple as that

  • totally agree with you

  • i guess some people just dont listen to the lyics......

  • yeah but i wasnt too much work that he had doen

only kill em all and ride the lightning....and the most stuff is by james anyway....i mean james is just a f*cking freak of a songwriter....he makes guitar riffs as there were nothing

  • @MrMalf Still, listen to ride the lightning. I bought that album a few days ago and when i listened to the title track the first thing that I thought of was "holy crap this sounds exactly like what Dave writes" and sure enough, he co-wrote it. Im not saying that these guys arent good or that they cant write but it's sounds like a Megadeth song that was sung by Hetfield. Personally, i like megadeth more, Metallica just doesnt have an album that catches me as much as Peace sells or Rust in Peace

  • The spirit of cliff was kept alive til Black Album, and now it's back

  • @XanaduMyHome call me stupid but if you listen to load or reload....you kinda sense the METAL.

    example: outlaw torn :)

  • whiplash is my favorite kill em all

  • Superfan = AKA band whore groupie

  • 6:24 "i thought we´re going off the cliff" thats so ironic i cant breath anymore

  • It's weird how in this documentary they totally ignore Ride The Lightning

  • what a pity =(

  • it says 14 16 dollars at 4:16 for the concerte now its like 200 bucks its weird how much time changes

  • when you are quick its like 80€ i paid that for a festival but when its almost sold out cheapest is 175€

  • ALCOHOLICA 4ever xD

  • RIP CLIFF BURTON

    BEST BASSPLAYER EVER

  • @TOKIOHOTEL1000000 he was better thtan the best

  • "we want the showers going, with girls in there, ready, and willing, to bathe us."

    hahahha

  • hit the lights is mega speed song imo :D but tis great!!

  • I reflect myself in kirk hammet, the guy that doesnt drink... TOO Muchand play guitar:D

  • oh so u use coke?

  • The best metallica times: 80's

  • of course, of course:P

  • from 10 seconds in vid till whenever it stops, its "4 horsemen" that song was originally the mechanix. written by dave mustaine.

  • yeah but four horsemen was more famous

  • dave mustaine is so much better than kirk

  • Ah, I am not sure about that. I would for sure say different. I would say Dave's playing is a bit more complex, but I like Kirk's style. I play, and I think both are good, but I dig Kirk's style a bit more. I guess it is a personal choice thing.

  • R.I.P Cliff Burton

  • at 9:20 what is the name of that song

  • My Freind of misery from the black album.

  • they play ride the lightning and call of ktulu but not the showing the album i dont get it

  • Drinkinnnnnnnn drink and destroy.

  • yea the skipped ride the lighting fuck lol that is probably my favorite metallica album that and master of puppets

  • 3:21

  • k what the hell. they just totally skipped ride the lightning

  • R.I.P Cliff Burton!!!!

  • Right on, dude. Cliff was the real Metallica-bassist, and will always be.

Though Cliff is dead, Robert fills the empty spot great.

  • thats fucking right and dont let any one forget that

  • Wait did they just skip Ride the Lightning?!

  • Pause at 4:06 LMFAO

  • If you pause it on 8:36, James Hetfield looks like Vince McMahon on WWE lmao!! I knwo I'm sad enough to point that out but fuck it!! lol x

  • 3:03 Oh I´m not drunk

What do you mean, we go out in 10 minutes

OH SHIT Hahahahaha XD XD XD

  • whats the song at 3:25

  • aint my bitch :]

  • Ain't My bitch

    album: Load

  • anybody know the name of the song form 8:49 to 9:15???

  • Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

  • Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

  • Welcome Home (Sanitarium) is the name of the song at 8:49 in the "Metallica - Documentary 2" Video.

  • at 6:05 they start talkin bout cliff. that makes me sad

  • this ain't right dave was apart of the band during kill em all and helped write ride the lightning.

  • no he wasn't...

  • Clearly you don't listen to ride the lightning and the spider choord in it.

  • I listen to ride the lightning... And yes Mustaine wrote some of the songs on 'kill em all and Ride the lightning... but he wrote the songs before the kill em all album and when they kicked him (before 'kill em all) they used some of his songs for the album tho Mustaine said that they wasn't allowed to use his stuff..

  • $14 for metallica tickets back then? shit you can't even see a new shitty band for that price now days

  • why they are not talking about ride the lightning album???

  • because kill em all is there debut album and master of puppets is there magnum opus

  • my thoughts exactly they matured

  • metallica ft.dave mustaine wuld be awesome! twin solos between kirk and dave

  • someone plz tell me what song iz at 5:20

  • R.I.P Cliff Burton

  • didnt the seat cushion thing happen with slayer to?

  • Yes..the infamous seat cushion show..NY 1988..there are clips from this show on youtube (and of course various bootlegs)

  • ya all the first thrash bands did (metallica, slayer, megadeath, anthrax) mainly cus people thought they were punk because of their playing wich was uncommon at the time u know?

  • rip cliff

  • metallica's sound engineer's dad is my brother in laws client

  • do you want a medal or something?

  • no i was just saying but i am kinda lucky cuz metallica are my fav rockband and i got 5 picks they used on their 2008 tour

  • did you get 5 picks because you caught 5 picks or because of your connections?

because i actually caught a pick in 2008

no, i dont want a medal

  • because of connections

  • Ride The Lightning > Master Of Puppets.

  • Agreed. Ride the Lightning is my favorite Metallica album because it represents a stepping stone between Metallica's heavy thrash (Kill Em All) and their progressive stuff (Master of Puppets and And Justice for All).

  • Exactly.

  • What did you think of Death Magnetic? I think it was a pretty good comeback. Almost like a fusion of Master of Puppets and the Black Album.

  • I didnt like it as much as Kill em All or RTL, but it definitely has it's moment, nice comeback, but still not satisfying.

  • i think of it as a preview of better things to come

  • 3:33 GO TO WERK!! lol

  • WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO RIDE THE LIGHTNING!!! The fucking media never does metal right...

  • Kill Em All is my favorite Metallica album

  • Poor Kirk.. He always looks like he is about to cry when he talks about Cliff..

  • Yeah, probably because he knew It could have been him, remember they drew cards for Cliff's bed.

  • They didn't even mention my favorite Metallica album :( Why skip RTL?

  • ROFL at 3:04 !!!!!!!!!!!

  • how can you make a documentary about metallica acting like ride the lightning never happened!?!

  • What's that song which starts at 2:28 ?

  • George Thorogood & the Destroyers - If you don't start drinking (I'm gonna leave)

  • hahahaha fucked up but funny

  • Why the hell didn't they mention Ride The Lightning?

  • METALLICA ROCKS

  • ya forsure i mean rob is good, but cliff restin peace, is a bass legend for life!!!!!

  • Jesus was looking for a God Bass player so he found Cliff.

  • Yeah, especially since he found a drummer in John 'Bonzo' Bonham ( Led Zeppelin), a backup singer in Robbie Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd), a guitarist in Steve Gaines (Lynyrd Skynyrd), and another backup singer in Cassie Gaines (Lynyrd Skynyrd) already.

God & Jesus' band must be epic. Now all they need now is Ozzy...but we won't let em' have him... >_>

  • @malledan what about Randy Rhodes

  • @malledan D'ya think they've formed a band in heaven with John Bonham? :)

  • God realised he needed some bass lessons on september 27th 1986.

  • yea and some guitar lessons on dec. 8 2004

  • Well actually God got his first guitar lessons on December 4th, 1993 but I guess he wanted it heavier on December 8, 2004.
