Bleach dub what happened to you?

It's painful to see Bleach slowly die with all of the filler arcs. The Bount arc made some sense but the two that followed it just aren't appealing. I assume it's either due to the lame stories or breaking up the canon abruptly at key points.

I've said for a long time that networks should get Abridged Series Dubbers to dub the American dubs. Its better to watch them in Japanese anyway, so if its dubbed, it should be done as a spoof if anything else.

I don't know what it is, lack of sound alike actors, lost in translation, or lack of intrest that makes dubbed versions so bad. Look at something like Shin Chan, why is it funny, why do we like it, and why is it so great!? They did a straight dub of it, they tried to buy a dub before and it was a kids show. So [AS] dubbed it themselves; 99% better

Two, a lot of Eng dubs are far superior to their Jap dub counterparts, not everyone shares your OPINION that all dubs are terrible. Three, AS did NOT dub Shin Chan, FUNimation did and it isn't a straight dub, the dialogue and situations were changed to suit us because American and Japanese culture is so different. Educate yourself.

In Shusuke's defense, exposition is a very important part of the story. It tells you the characters, setting, plot, and such. What Shusuke described wasn't exposition, he just directly described the course of action that could be directly inferred. Many people make the mistake of labeling this as "exposition."

Honestly this is actually where I'm beginning to watch the dub again. Bleach's dub has always been tolerable and this is no different. When I mean "tolerable" I don't mean good and I don't mean bad...it's just there. I feel a lot of the voices are either miscasted or undercasted but in the end whenever I watch Bleach dubbed I don't cringe or hear things that just don't sound right. But it always could be better. If you want to hear a dub that really derails as it goes along, check Sailor Moon.

He's famous because he's young and up and coming, he has no range or vocal talent, no his lackluster generic voice doesn't fit for most characters he dubs. It works for Ichigo, and it worked for Vash because he was new to the business at that time and was just playing it by ear. But for characters like Sasori, Lelouch, Kiba and even Nero from DMC, the voice doesn't work. Because it's fucking generic.

Bleach is fine when they're actually doing a good story (which is a rare moment, indeed) like the Arrancar arc at the end of the last season when things were getting intense...But then they stopped that arc half way through and said "Well, I know that you guys wanna see Ichigo fight Aizen and we've been building up to that for the past forty episodes, but HERE'S A FILLER ARC INSTEAD!"

I noticed that about when they got into the filler arcs, you do get a sense the English team doesn't care too much. When they do the real episodes then they actually do a good job. I've stopped paying attention to the anime just because of the filler. I just read the manga in jump now.
