everyone in mother 3 was a team player where as Mother 2 had Ness having all the powers(like the instrument talent) which I think would make ness a better fit for paul seeing as he is also the most popular aswell.

Comparing Paula to Yoko just seems a bit odd to me since John went atheist and Paula is very spiritual. She is the second most important member which is not really true for yoko w/ the Beatles.

The best band to ever exist easily. Without them, The Beatles probably wouldn't even exist. I love The Beatles. I'm sure me and Shigesato Itoi would get alone because of this fact. Also, yes, one of his favorite foods was Honey Pie thanks to that one short song by Paul. His original though is Salisbury Steak. If you listen after you wake from a Hotel, it sounds like "Good morning, Good Morning." Poor Ringo and George... They're always in the shadow. Ringo was always so nice... But emotional

I read somewhere that the favorite food corresponding to the alternate Beatles choices in the Japanese version of EarthBound, is Honey Pie. I think that this was probably becuase of the song "Honey Pie" by the Beatles on the White Album.

It's only in the Japanese version of EarthBound. Oddly enough they took it out of the American version despite the fact that people in America are crazy about the Beatles.

King DID leave the parties group in the beginning of the game. If Ringo had left the Beatles, the connection would have been deeper, but I still think you could have mentioned that King left.

Also, John's father was never around in his childhod. Ness NEVER see's his father during the game...something else you could have mentioned. Otherwise, great vid! I love bth the Beatles and Mother series very deeply. Both had quite an impact on my childhood.

Is the music during the naming process an accurate representation of how it actually sounds on a Super Famicom? I thought the sound effects and music were sweet! =) It sounded a bit different than on the NTSC cart.

This video is from the GBA version. The Super Famicom/SNES versions sound pretty much identical.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Itoi had that order for the default names regarding the Beatles planned out and poor Ringo got shafted as the dog due to a process of elimination there.

Where as Ness is just trying to keep things together, much as Paul did towards the later days, with the Get Back project, attempting despite the growing contempt between them all to keep them together, this would make Linda a better fit for Paula. Linda and Paul, together until her untimely death, no marriage break up or first son abandonment as with John and Yoko, and Linda had more going for her as a phtographer, vegetarian and animal's rights activist. Plus she's blonde.

I've never really been content with the John - Ness, Paula - Yoko thing. Jeff looks more like John, glasses and such, which Paul never did. John was always more imbued with anger and such despite all the love, love, love more tormented which would connect better with Jeff, no mom, noncommital scientist dad.
