  • This must be disappointing for people missing fingers.

  • @allysoawesome lol yeah I think you may be right

  • 5 x 5 ?????????

  • Nice hands lol

  • Multiplication by 9 is so easy on your head that doing it with your hands is completely useless. I thought you were going to teach how to do 679x953 using hands similar to a soroban.

  • @knotwelkum sorry you didn't find it useful.. I like it =-)

  • ok what about 5*5

  • been doing this for years. it is cool.

  • @jwdentertainmet yup, I think it's cool too.

  • it's really not hard to do in the head

    for example 9 x 13 equals 130-13

    117

    9 x 45

    450-450=405

  • @Snyltebiter interesting =-)

  • @Snyltebiter should be 45 at the last line

  • @salman3910

    i know. didn't notice it

  • Thumbs up if you actually tried this after the video.

  • what if you only have 3 fingers?

  • @13moneyrockz then counting to three will be easy =-)

  • @Lethalgamer12 HAhaha

  • @Lethalgamer12 you could always try the original method - memorize it :P

  • @Lethalgamer12 yeah... a calculator lol

  • the fastest way to multiply by 9 is to multiply by 10 and than substract the other number.. example 9x9= 10x9-9=81.....or 9x5= 10x5-5=45

  • @LvZ90 that's an interesting way to do it =-)

  • are you a teacher? Every math teacher that I had was boring!

  • @ScruffyBueno nope - not a teacher, but I know what you mean about boring ones.. I've had plenty =-)

  • Epic win!

  • @charliegirl6 thanks =)

  • 1 dislike that one dont have 10 fingers

  • @samusaniko lol

  • if I use my toes too can you help me to figure out 8 x 13 ?

  • @NatePinkyVideos I'm not sure which is more unusual, the fact that you want to use your toes, or that you have so many toes?! ha

  • @briandudeathome well I figured I would need more digits for the higher numbers....

  • @jennyie68 I'm glad you liked this!

  • cool dude hehe funny at start when he has counted all his fingers and was like up to 8 and had to wiggle them all hehe

  • thats cool and all, but by 3rd grade you should know your multiplications my memory all the way upto at least 12x12

  • @RageSTi06 lol at my school they start teaching multiplication in 3rd grade

  • totally fascinating!! BUT what if you don't have all 10 of your fingers then what do you do?

  • @hdonkers not sure, try using toes maybe?! LOL

  • @briandudeathome I guess if you do not have all your fingers or toes you can always use a calculator :D

  • @hdonkers Just count the stub.

  • @chuckbyf Well you prove a valid point :)

  • @hdonkers improvise

  • @THEPS3FAN93 What if one lost their hand? Hmm at that point I'd just use a calculator :D

  • Yay! I love this trick. I remember being 7 or 8 and seeing someone do this and being absolutely captivated. :D I'm so sad... I know.

  • @LeoLxx7 haha, I actually just learned this one month ago. When I first saw it I was AMAZED! I've since tried to teach my sister but she finds it confusing. Oh well...

  • @briandudeathome never too late to learn.
