  • wait wait wait wait....Are U Jerry Trainor the guy from iCarly? U just look like him.

  • Don't know if you got your answer...

Lots of light and little water while blooming. After the flower wilts let it continue to get full sun as long as possible.

After a few months clean the bulb off and put it in the fridge... for at least a month.. Once you remove the the bulb from fridge... repot like you did in the video.... then put it back in high light.... it'll bloom a month later...

  • Well,my Amaryllis are planted outside and they stay there over winter with no problem. They bloom every year.I live in Indiana where the winters are cold!

  • LUVLY

  • That's not an Amaryllis/Hippeastrum, it's a Triffid! :)

  • Amaryllis hippeastrum (yes). Boy or girl (don't know). Eccentric (probably). Thank you and good night.

  • Awesome plant, THAT THING IS HUGE!........ are you a guy?

  • Im sorry i dont mean to be a jerk but for future reference its soil your planting in not dirt.

  • @KOOLFACE23

Yes, it's soil, not dirt. Why do people call it this? As often as not it is also called compost when packed into plastic bags, as in this case.

  • Hope you'll be able to keep it for next year.

    Nice video anyway. :-)

  • LOL! it is pretty and you didn't kill it hea hea! LOL THAT WAS funny,

  • It's a little late for a reply, but I was going to advise you that amarylis needs minimal care and will grow and bloom over and over forever. It will actually grow more bulbs from the main one and get monsterous. I have one from a christmas 3 years ago and it's currently sending up 4 stalks of flowers. If you touch the part where the pollen is, it will pollenate it. After the flower falls off, it grows a large seed pod which when dry will give you hundreds of large paperlike seeds.

    Nice video!

  • ur cute! ^^

    nice video... i loved it!

lol i have red amarillys but not as big as yours!

how r they doing? (January 2009)

  • Thanks! It took a hiatus but it just started growing again. Hopefully I'll have more blooms in a couple weeks!

  • Lovely blooms. :)

  • I would definitely recommend them! They're so cheery.

  • Wow! Beautiful! You did well!

I plant them and they die.

    I'm so embvious of your ability/luck. :)

  • It was entirely luck - I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I hope you have similar success!
