@ShockingSurprize That is the whole point he made. the engine the GT uses is basically a LS2 because it is a 6.0L not like the 6.2L LS3 that is also used in 2008+ Corvettes. Just like the LS9 is nothing more than a 6.2L Supercharged =)

@TheBowlingboy300 Yes the G8 GT uses a LS2 engine (6.0) 400hp. The GXP uses the LS3 (6.2) 415hp

@06elnor The L76 is a LS2 with a different cam and heads that utilize the variable cylinder management feature so its the LS2 Block, Pistons, Crank, and Intake with a different valve train and CPU brain, and the GXP uses a LS3.

Some of the "classy" Chevy models like the Impala SS uses an LS4 (5.3) with variable cylinder management.
